I have just been informed that George passed away on Tuesday. George played Worthing for a number of years and I had the pleasure of being in the same team at the Empire Club. George was always willing to give you the time of day, had a great sense of humour and was a genuine guy. I am sure many of you will remember George from his playing days. Condolences to his family and RIP George.

He also had heart failure, and stomach cancer. George was my second captain at the Crabtree in both Worthing and Portslade. RIP George. Condolences to the family

Thoughts are with the family on this sad news. As said, no pain now. Really nice guy, easy to get on with. Memories of good times at the Crabtree and the Empire Club. RIP George.
