Mariner has urgent work taking place on ceiling to repair leak. Therefore table out of action till work complete.
Dover has been advised and will try contacting Bevy to advise.
Will update once works are completed, hopefully not too long.

New Oak A 3 - 2 Master Mariner A Marc Chipman 2,240 - 5,040* Gary Mechan Phil Osborne 2,070 - 3,120* Moppy Scott Ian Lelliott 6,570 - 1,250* DJ Robins Nigel Senior 7,570 - 700* Steve Burns Bob Osborne 3,800 - 2,290* Bob Mechan The night of the great escape by the home team coming from from 2-0 down In leg 1, birthday boy Marcus totally full of it after winning the decider v Redhill on Sunday was in confident mood - although why I asked him why he had not won a game in Brighton this year he said "my heart isnt in it - I am only up for it when I am captain " He looked on course for his first win of the season when on the break after Gary's opening 1,500. A very fat split though went through the peg causing Marc to name himself a male chicken, and no one was disagreeing 0-1. Leg 2, Moppy off on a few, Phil got the balls back only for the left hand roll to catch him out taking out Marc's peg. Moppy took advantage and put the Mariner 2-0 up. Leg 3 DJ off early and Ian made a 5k break which was too many for DJ. the comeback was on 1-2. Leg 4 Steve pegged his opener, then a scrappy 8 mins before Nige got the balls back. Nige making 5k to level the match and send it in to a decider. 2-2 Leg 5 Bob v Bob. Bob M pegged his 2k opener. Bob O got about 2k in front, but Bob M got the balls back only to come off on a split with about 2 minutes left and about 200 behind. A couple of chances each but Bob O cleared the table to take the match win. Cue scenes of Marcus singing the great escape. 3-2 to the Oak.

Stag C 3-2 Blue Anchor **Bob Hall 0 - 4770 Rick Cunningham - not sure either player wanted to win this one, Bob hadn't missed in practice and Rick had no practice so, of course, Rick won to give the visitors a good start Dave Ingram 7450 - 6380 Matthew Knight** - Warrior v Silent always a thriller, tonight no different. Silent a whipped split to the right and off. Warrior an excellent clearance, then a very good 7k break with a whipped split or 2 (also to the right), half a chance for Silent but a bad split close to the bar put paid to any chance (thanks for the lift home Dave) 1-1 Kevin Hall 10790 - 1660 Tony Jenner** - TJ had a couple of early chances but caught out by the right roll on the split and the tricky left cushion. Recently rehoused Chunky in fine form, getting them back and making an 8k break with a couple of excursions 2-1 **Grant Tully 8340 - 1670 Joe Oakley - GT a 4k opener without looking particularly comfortable, pace of the table catching him out, Joe got them straight back and thumped his first split clean in the 100, tried to repeat the trick with a 50/10 but not so good and off. Grant got them back and was close to the finish line when whipping a split, coming back relatively quickly it was 200 or black peg and the ball dropped pretty clean in the 200, lucky Victory assured for the home team Stuart Mepham 2810 - 5340 James Whittle** - very good 4k opener from the Whittle, plenty of good splits but change of tactics meant he missed a 50 and was off. Not Stu's night as he just could not get going, even messing up a good chance close to the bar. Sorry Stu you got WHITTLED Very good win for James and meant the goal difference did not suffer too much despite losing our 100% record Strange match as some legs the table looked unplayable and then others it was perfectly fine. Felt the "shot Ians" favoured the home team, but that's how it goes sometimes. Well done to the Stag on their win and thanks for a good night
