Good night with Mid Sussex, I was reliably told by one of our opposition that we are a noisy team!! Chances in all legs but we took ours better than the home team. Ben playing the leg of the evening after Alan got us of to an excellent start. Mr Ridley bringing the match home in his usual calm manner.

Good night for Tun Wells, Brighton could not get to grips with the table and if they did also found the pegs (quite a lot)

Brighton A 4-3 Redhill A *Bob Hall 11,330 - 8150 Tony Cross - one early excursion from Bob but other than that an excellent opener which gave Tony no chance. Crossy played out the rest of the time with excellent reply Dave Ingram 7800 - 5840 Geoff Jukes** - Despite going well Geoff could not repeat his heroics of Thursday night and was off on 5k. Dave off after most woeful of splits, but first to get them back and made no mistake second time with very good break to give us the upperhand Phil Osborne 2600 - 10,300 Dave Jones** - with a mixture of great shots and a couple of outrageous ones Dave dug deep to make enough and pulled one back for the visitors **Jim Millward 12,650 - 2840 Colin Robbins - Jim never looked in any trouble at all in making an excellent 11k break to give Colin no chance Chris Tupper 6980 - 7600 John Slee** - a surprise to see John off early, know Tupps was disappointed with himself to leave his first one up short on getting them back. John then built a lead with good break, but gave Tupps a chance as he came off. Tupps set about the chase around 6k behind, flying, he nearly got them, a costly excursion the difference. John keeping the visitors in it Matthew Knight 5830 - 10,130 Denise Wills** - excellent 10k opener from Denise gave me no chance, I played the rest of the time out, so it was time for the decider... **Nigel Senior 12,970 - 5620 Gary Powell - excellent break from the captain saw us home. One thin split and a dodgy one up could have been costly but a couple of excellent recovery shots followed. Gary had no chance and there was even enough time for Nige to get one of his famous "kicks" when he got a second chance Good win for the hosts, thanks to our visitors, as always for being excellent company

Brighton A 4 Redhill 3
As Matts report says a great night and match at the Stag with some terrific games On a very good table. 5 of the 7 legs won with the opening breaks sentiment to how good the top was. Fittingly went to a deciding frame which Nige made no mistake. 110,000 points at nearly 16k game average says it all. Well done Denise subbing for DC making 10k break to take it to a decider.
