A couple of close games but the table was playing well at the Bevy tonight, although the white ball started to try coming inside in the later games. A nice evening with a tasty pasta bake and chips kindly provided by the hosts - thank you.

Bevy 1 New Oak B 4
Kev 7650 Ash 4530 Can’t remember what happened but Kev scored more than Ash
Zoe 510 Alan 11580 Zoes last game before disappearing to the other side of the world for a year but Uncle Alan showed no mercy
Ellis 2840 Chelle 8200 Ellis going well until he missed then nice couple of breaks from Chelle
Heather 2140 Stuart 15980 Stu off early (curse of the Stag table). Hev going well with 2k plus before Stu got break back and put the demons to bed
Ash 1530 Jean 11550
Ash off on 1k. I was up to 9770 when whipped the hundred on the split and left the ball in middle of table. Managed to hit it (phew) then only took a few shots each to get all the balls on the table until I eventually got break back to add another 1500
Thanks for a good night and to Hev for the food.
Think that's roughly what happened 😂

Duke of Wellie 0 - 3 New Oak A
Mick Winder 1,310* - 18,230** Nigel Senior Chris Tupper 5,570** - 7,540* Ian Lelliott Colin Smith 4,700* - 6,900** Martin Smith Terry Molloy NOT PLAYED Marc Chipman
New Oak reverse last weeks league defeat to progress to the semi finals of the cup
In leg 1, Nige went on first and made 7k. Mick missed on 1,300 and Nige finished the game off to get to 18k total 0-1
Leg 2, Tupps made a nice opening break and was disappointed to come off on 5.5k. Ian set about chasing, he had a couple of scares (with a couple of 'shot Ian') on the way but played out the rest of the table to win by a couple of thousand. 0-2
Leg 3 I went off to get the pizzas as game 3 started and was pleased to see Martin still on the table when i got back, he looked set to make a big score but came off on 5.5k. Colin looked like he was going to at least pass Martin's score but missed a straight 50 pot about 1,000 behind. A visit each but Martin got the balls back to take leg and match. 0-3
Leg 4 Molloy had seen enough so didnt play leg 4, but worth commenting on Marc's friendly game v Mick. Marc back from COVID this week started Colin off on COVID conspiracy theories and such like before even a shot had been played in leg 1. Marc then missed the break shot (both balls) bearing in mind you can get the break on the Blue anchor with your eyes closed.....Marc claimed a KICK, his first ever kick in his 20+ years of playing bar billiards. Colin's comment of the night was that he had heard all the conspiracy theories from Chippers but there was no conspiracy about his break shot - it was just crap! I had to agree when Marc missed the break shot again a few minutes later (did pot the red this time). Oh he did win though...
Thanks to the Wellie for agreeing to play us yesterday after I called off the original match. Thanks to Martin for stepping in for us and winning us the match.
