Highest match score for me so far with a nice little 7 grand that I almost lost at the end! A series of good match scores says alot for how the table played tonight... it was beautiful.

Spcc A 3 Salfords Y 2
Vern 390 Baz 3210 Laurie 4100 Mark 6470 Dave 6080 Nev 5150 Tracy 8170 Anita 1300 John 6110 Karen 3620
First up Baz and skipper back in the side at Junkies expense ( oh dear ). Baz on with the break off early and chance for Vern. Made a few then peg. Plenty of goes each till Baz got them back again oops 4 down gave Vern the break back. Great chance we thought but no off again. Baz next to clear the balls frame over. One Vern will want to forget.
Laurie and Mark on next with Fritz forging out an early lead. Laurie chipping away set about chasing Mark's score. A few more goes each and Mark added a few more. Laurie managed to clear the balls and a Good break was catching up but a cockup of a split and that was that ,2-0 down.
Dave and Nev cracking game. Nev opening with a terrific 4k putting the pressure on. Dave struggling a bit to get going nev made a few more and things were looking grim for us. Clock against him DC got them back and a great fighting break saw him home in the last minutes.
Ladies match next Tracy and Anita. Tracy on first off with a good break gave her the ideal start. Unusually Anita struggling to get going Tracy took advantage and another fine break gave her a commanding lead. Game over match level.
Lastly Karen and yours truly. Karen making a steady start and leaving the balls awkward made it tricky. A few more goes each and Karen got the balls back and made a good 2k. Eventually I cleared the table and played Through to the bar. Out of Jail !!
A lovely evening as always with the Y's . A tight match and a good comeback. Tracy playing yet another great game in a cracking season. .
