Due to various stuff the Master Mariner B will have to reschedule due to various issues.
I've let two of the Caxton team know.

Good luck to my team mates tonight RTTO and hopefully be able to get back in the side after Liz and my short break to celebrate her retirement and meet up with family that we have not been able to see due to the virus

We have new leaders in the Premier Division. Stag C 4 Duke of Wellington 1 Stuart Mepham 17,940* v Colin Smith 0 Excellent opening break of 10,850, Colin played a brilliant fluke shot into the 200 hole but then pegged h Cool%is score and Stuart finished the game off. 1-0 Jim Millward 9,290 v Kevin Tunstall 8,910* The big leg of the night, Kevin never looked like missing until the one-up came out on about 8.7k, Jim got the break back but left a split short on 6.3k and came off next shot, Kevin unlucky not to get the balls back but Jim did and ran the table out just catching up as the bar dropped. 2-0 Grant Tully 0 v Chris Tupper 11,050* Tupps off around 3.5k but was first to get them back and made enough for the win, nothing went right for Grant and Chris finished off. 2-1 Rob Hall 7,140* v Dave Reeves 4,890 Boball has been in great form on this table lately, but missed on under 2k tonight. Dave no luck and Bob got them back after a few visits each to take the win before Dave got them back and played the table out. 3-1 Dave Ingram 11,180 v Mick Winder 3,050* Mick off early, I got the break back but left the one up short on just under 3k. Mick break back but he also left the one up short, I gratefully made enough next visit before Mick finished off. 4-1 Always an enjoyable evening with the Wellie boys, nice spread of sarnies as well.

New Oak B 3 Bevy 2
Strange game tonight. Good job we don’t charge for pegs as mortgages would have been taken out tonight to pay for them.
Chelle 3560 Kevin 1610 Chelle opened and going well with just under 6k until a peg got in her way. Few goes each at top of table (with a few pegs) until Chelle got break back to get the win
Ash 1890 Doug 4200 this game was breaks, pegs, misses and more pegs but Doug doing enough for the win.
Alan 1030 Bella 2970 this game was pegs pegs and more pegs. Bella managing to keep a break at the end.
Jean 5650 Heather 4100 Not so many pegs in this one but to and fro all game and I managed to get break back at end to get the win
Stuart 9780 Kevin (4 player) 1160 stu off on 1k then looked like another peg game until Stu got break back and touched (took 3 attempts) on 8k
Good night with the Bevy and lots of laughs usually aimed at the players. Unfortunately no one had any superglue tonight which would certainly have come in handy!!

Moulescoomb Club 4 - 1 New Oak A
Dave Lee 2,160* - 2,130 Nigel Senior Vic McFadden 760* - 3,420 Marc Chipman Colin Green 3,400* - 1,790 Ian Lelliott Phil Reay 4,950* - 1,960 Phil Osborne Martin Parsons 1,590* - 1,540 Phil Osborne (4P)
New Oak A crash to defeat against the Moulscoomb Club
In leg 1, Dave played Nige. Dave off early, Nige with the balls straight back only to miss the white ball on the break. Nige gets balls back again got a bit further with a 10 split then missed the one up. Scores were dead level when the bar dropped, Nige cleared all but one ball for 160, missed the 100, and Dave sunk the 200 to win. Dave told me well played so I must have played pretty well!
Leg 2, Chippers needed to win to get us back in the game and he duly obliged with several breaks - and he told me he was concentrating on every shot!
Leg 3 Colin is the form man in Sussex, and a few breaks won him this one against Ian. Ian only had the break back once and couldnt get going, but he was generous enough to give Colin a lift home, despite the away captain telling Ian to leave him there.
Leg 4 Hopes now rest on Phil who was doubling up playing games 4 and 5. Captain Phil Reay stepped up for home team and steadily increased his lead with a few breaks. Phil just getting one chance on the break but missed the one up,
Leg 5 Phil fared no better against Martin Parsons, not getting the break back at all this time. Martin nicked it with a clearance at the end.
Well done to the Moulscoomb Club on their win, I will now look back to see if there has ever been a Brighton League game where Marcus was the only winner for my team....

Told my team won 5-0 and that best I go away more often Apparently your team mates missed your wit and humour and your captain missed the whipped split when the game was won ..... ...but you are correct we did win 5-0

Blue Anchor 5-0 Master Mariner A
James Whittle 4800 - 1830 Gary Mechan** Matthew Knight 10,560 - 630 DJ Robins** Chris Cox 8860 - 3040 Moppy Scott** Joe Oakley 10,430 - 1220 Bob Mechan** **Rick Cunningham 8750 - 380 DJ (4 player rule)
Fair to say that the Mariner were not at their best, on the table that is. The banter was still flowing off the table Scrappy first leg with Gaz off early but James not at his best either and needed the break a few times to make sure Legs 2,3 and 4 all won first break after early misses Rick was off early in leg 5 but made no mistake second time
Good night in excellent company
