It is with a truly heavy heart I have to let you know that I received a message from gillian giving me the terrible news that sadly Chris Cass passed away this afternoon. Chris was not only a very close friend of over 40 years but he was also the driving force for the Suffolk Bar Billiards Association and without his dedication there would be no 4 pin open every year or indeed the 4x4 tournament which was all his brain child. The SBBA had aleady taken the decision to rename the 4x4 "The Chris Cass four by four" in honour of all his efforts. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Gillian at this time and we will be offering every support we can. Please feel free to post your messages below and I promise I will make sure Gillian has the chance to read each and every one them

OMG, what terrible news......... Chris Cass was a true gentleman and a great ambassador for Suffolk Bar Billiards.
I always enjoyed a chinwag with Chris as he was also responsible for publication of the event's programme and there was always a local historical feature of great interest.
He will be sadly missed. Please pass on my respects to Gillian and the family.

More dreadful news!
Got to like Chris as soon as I met him and his enthusiasm and friendliness was obvious and one of the principle reasons for my close connection with Suffolk since finding 'four pin'.
A lovely guy and a terrible loss to his family and also to our game. Even though he was obviously not well in March it was good to meet him and Gillian and chat.
My condolences to Gillian, his family, Dave and our friends in Suffolk.

Such sad news again.
Chris was a lovely bloke and a prime mover when the EA Open moved to Suffolk. He also produced the peerless program that was a USP of the 4 pin Open. His quiet manner, his friendliness and his willingness to help were obvious to all and he will be sadly missed by all, I'm sure.
My condolences to Gillian and his friends and family for the loss of this lovely chap.
Rest in Peace Chris.

a Brilliant bloke, a proper foot soldier that kept it all going. Always had time for a word with you. I'm glad the 4x4 is named in his memory, very worthy. My condolenses to the family.
