Well done to Kevin Tunstall on winning his third Brighton Masters title, he beat Ian Lelliott in the final, well done to Ian as well. Ian was asked to go first in the final on the table we had a few problems setting up. Seemed little wrong with the table as Ian made a near 5k opener before coming off, despite getting the balls back Kev could not make any inroads into Ian's lead, however he made no mistake with his break to take the title. There had certainly been opportunities to stop Kevin getting to the final with James Whittle showing a welcome return to form and having Kev in real trouble before Kev fell over the line, and in the semi-final I could just not get the balls back in a very strange first leg when Kev failed to get a single split in any of his 5 breaks which included some incredible 200/50 shots. Ian was in fine form both days and beat Chris Tupper in his semi-final
Joe Oakley smashed the Masters highest ever break with a 24,300 table play out, it beat the previous best by 4k and there have been one or two pretty good players in the competition previously! Well done 👍
Thanks to Heather and Jim for hosting and all the hard work he put in making the room ready for play. Thanks to Martin Cole for supplying two of the tables, with lights supplied by Alan and Jean Brackenridge thanks to Stuart/Alan Mepham for supplying a table as well. As always my thanks to Stuart for all the work he put in getting the tables set up, finally thanks to Nigel for doing the format
