Hi Everybody

I have attached a package for the this year’s AGM in the Gordon Ruff room at Roffey SSC on Wednesday 17th August, starting at 8.30 pm

Dick Dewdney who kindly used to produced photo copies for me has retired and is no longer able to do so

So, if you can print the package, please bring two or three copies with you, to cover for those that are unable to do so

(e) IN ALL LEAGUE MATCHES THE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS THAT THE HOME TEAM HAVE THE BREAK IN GAMES 2 AND 4

Hi JT,
My initial comments/reactions as you have requested our input ......

Taking your points in turn:

1) I would say that a return to having Singles and Doubles competitions was essential rather than just a 'possibility'.

2) Last season dragged on far too long, we were still playing almost into June!  I would like to see the season start in late September and finish late April (early May at latest).  The Team Cup was overcomplicated, and if it reverted back to a simple knockout there would be adequate time to fit in the normal competitions.

3) Agree we need to give special consideration to any new 'novice' teams. A start may be to offer them all five breaks at home as well as away when playing an established team.

I have a good printer, so will bring a dozen or so spare copies with me.
