I'll be honest I can't remember a huge amount from game one between Colin and Jim as I was entrenched in conversation with JP, but ultimately it seemed to be a game where both players were on and off alot and Colin took his chances better than Jim. Next on JP continued his superb form from the opening week by surging well clear of Benny by 2k, but a spirited comeback from Benny broke down just short with a minute remaining on the clock - JP then saw it through from there. Next up a scrap between Grahame and Abbey. Even though Abbey wasn't happy with her form in practice earlier in the evening she took her opportunities well including an excellent table clearance to finish the game of and send the Nomads 2-1 up. Game four promised fireworks, but they came in a direction onlookers may not have expected pre-match. Neil went off with 3k and, after Michael failed to pot a ball on his first shot, Neil then added another 2.5k. With 8/9 minutes remaining there was time but the balls weren't going down for the beleaguered Michael who only managed to get them back once it was too late and immediately spurned his chance to add a couple of k in frustration. Neil played beautifully to build his lead and held on comfortably to bring the match to 2-2. So, the decider. It seemed like JP was going to (unofficially) chalk up his third win of the season as he stormed out of the blocks against Chris, but that momentum turned to Chris who got into lead and managed to hold a lead of 180 with one ball remaining - the red ball. Chris was first up to try and seal the win and played the perfect shot sinking it in the hundred to take the frame and match for MVC A.

Salfords Y 2 v MVC B 3 Wins for Fritz and Sue for the home team. Gary, Colin and Bud winning for the away team. A great night as always with the Y’s and a result that could have been so different.

Reigate Ex 2 Spcc A 3
Our catch up game from wk 2
Bobbie 550 Laurie 3500 Roger 2440 John 3960 Barry 2120 Junkie 1650 Les 4000 Dave 2130 Barry 3340 Junkie 3770 ( both teams 4 players)
Game 1 Bobbie and Laurie. Bobbie off early and Loz with an early chance , but also on the sidelines pretty quick. Lots of goes each with Laurie Making the most of his chances. 1- 0
2nd up Barry and Junks for their first encounter. A right scrappy affair with score a few, peg a few . Balls whipping and spinning made it tricky and Nobody got going. Eventually Barry made a few and kept his lead 1-1.
Next up yours truly and Roger. Roger off early but I couldn't capitalize and with balls at the top of the table scores were a struggle. Eventually I got the balls back And made 2k . With a bit of a lead things looked better but Roger almost caught me with his next break only to leave them short. Luckily I took my Chance.
Game 4 Les and DC. Les off with not too many and an early chance for Dave, but no another struggle tit for tat until dc got the balls back but off Again. Finally Les cleared up and made 2700 bk giving him a match winning lead 2-2
For the second time tonight Barry and Junkie. A struggle to start till Junkie got the hang of things and got a good lead. Things were eventually looking Up when Barry got them back and a quick last break almost got him home. Out of jail and nicked it 3-2.
A nice but quiet evening. Skipper and Tracy ill meant 4 and Maria unwell left R ex the same. A last leg decider on a trickier than usual Horley top.
