Anyone got a link to the ladies draw on Facebook. I know there were some problems on the day. But I can’t find them anywhere. I have managed to share the other bits with our group.

The ladies draw wasn’t done on Facebook live Because there are 6 England ladies and 4 Channel Islands ladies the format was complicated
To fit in the evening each series will have one doubles games and 2 single games.
I kept the 2 Guernsey ladies and 2 Jersey ladies as pairs for the first two series then drew 2 random to play the 3rd
Once the doubles were sorted the singles was drawn and again this was complicated as there was 4 England ladies available and 2 CI ladies each series. (Also the 2 CI ladies that hadn’t played in 2 of the doubles games played the 2 extra singles game.) so each series was drawn separately with the available ladies not playing in the doubles
When I wrote the format I thought I would try and do a completely random draw but after 6 attempts of always having people playing a doubles and singles at the same time (didn’t think they’d like to run between tables to take shots🤣) I gave up on that idea.
Probably none of that makes sense it certainly gave me brain ache trying to sort it to fit in the evening with the tables available but hope it’s ok

Not sure what you mean Joe
We have a Captain who has chosen our pairs (same as the men) and not sure how that will help with doing the format

Quick update with the score from Sat night. I will try and get the match scores on here soon.
England Ladies 27 v Channel Island Ladies 6
England Mens 58 v Guernsey Mens 8
A great evening of bar billiards . As usual the score line doesn't tell the whole story.
A big thanks to Guernsey who for the first time ever were able to send a full team over and for those who have put the time in to get the Ladies playing a game again.
On speaking to a few of the players it appears there is a renewed enthusiasm for the game in Guernsey and their numbers just keep growing. Whatever you have done or are doing it's definitely working so please keep it up.
Thanks
Curt

Hi everyone, just wanted to say what a great evening of Bar Billiards with all the ladies on Saturday evening when the England Ladies team played the Channel Island Ladies, I hope all the ladies enjoyed the evening as much as I did.
I'm pleased the two ladies from Guernsey, Claire & Carla & joining them two ladies from Jersey, Jenny & Emma Noel were happy to play us. Even though the score overall was 27 - 6, it was a very competitive evening overall.
It's good to hear that Guernsey have more ladies that are interested in playing Bar Billiards, hopefully they will have more ladies to play against England Ladies in the future.
Thank you to all the ladies for a really lovely evening & Well Done to the England Ladies 😘
Pauline xx
