For those of you backing me in the tipsters, thank you but I have had a rather nasty accident with one of my eyes which resulted in an operation lasting three hours.
The stitches must remain in place for two months to allow strengthening of the wound and the recovery is uncertain, so I cannot see a lot out of that eye at present.
You might wish to reconsider!

Yes it is planned that the witch will be bringing her cauldron and will use the extension lead this year.
We will be taking orders for bacon butties at a modest price, early morning and late evening, all profits to SARS.

Can I put my order in now please, veggie sausages with hp brown sauce . Happy to pay a tenner for SARS Now looking like I am unlikely to be there. My damaged eye has now suffered a sudden retinal detachment and tear and I got rushed into Ashford Hospital for immediate retinal surgery in addition to the last op, got my face nose down into a foam face shaped pillow until Wednesday at earliest. So two loads of stitches and a gas bubble in the eye from separate ops. Cannot see me being fit for the weekend.

Sorry to hear you are unlikely to make it, Chris, I know you support all the Suffolk events and it will be strange you not being there. Sounds as if the eye problem is really serious, so hoping you can make a full recovery and we'll maybe see you at the Chris Cass 4 x 4 later in the year.

You may find though that Sleezy is made of sterner stuff. Just take care not to be downwind of him when he's been on the Stout and Cider.

Just to muck the tipsters up, we have possibly lost 4 players from the morning session. That is effectively one group so we may re-draw the morning groups so we only have 8 groups as finding 4 replacement players at such short notice is very unlikely.

If it has to be re-drawn instead of byes then I'm afraid this tipsters event will be void for this year!

I hope not a redraw but to go ahead with those available but understand if more than one form a group has withdrawn if becomes a bit farcical.

............or how about : just re-draw the four groups that would be light of a player into three groups ?

Seen the surgeon and he said I need to be very very careful with the eye for another two weeks until the gas bubble inserted to support the retina is mostly absorbed, as this really is last chance saloon for any sort of vision following the two lots of damage to the eye lens and retina. Had the riot act read me tonight on the consequence of any knock or strain on the eye, even looking up is a risk.as the gas bubble will come away from the retina and may compromise the new lens.
Sorry but I'm afraid that counts Sudbury out for me this Spring - gutted as, a month ago, my vision was better than in years , was even thinking on coming out of three pin retirement!
