Alfold SC 0, Windmill GG 5 (postponed from 24/1/24 and played tonight) Kelly 860, Clive 4140 Chaz 1070, Mick 2970 Bill 1510, Paul 2390 Dave 1780, Graham 3250 Malc 1220, Michael 5290
The clubsters made a good contest out of each game, all of which followed the same pattern. None of us got anything off our first break (EDIT - apart from blue bandana man), but all of us able to adapt once granted another visit, once we realised the back of the table played very nicely.
A super evening (not said just because we won). Millie the poodle is a little darling, and kind of Dave to put Caravan on the HiFi player for me. Nice drop of Stowford Press for me and several bottles of Doombar consumed by the others.
We can have a rest now for a couple of weeks with our 'Bye' coming up next.

Didn't watch my opener then skip? 🤣🤣 Sorry, I was forgetting the power of the blue bandana ! I was probably getting licked to death by Millie at the time !

Congratulations to the Windmill who are confirmed as champions Highest Break Men Ricky Dewdney 14,350 at The Railway Thanks JT, so we put our feet up last night and Railway did the job for us.... Could have made more of an effort though in Ricky's game - who'd have thought that many were possible? Clacky must have prepared it with some TLC !

Railway v Cricks
I managed to get an interview with Mr Dewdney and questioned him on.his achievement in this match. He was At the time chauffeuring us to a Redhill Cup game. I enquired how the hell he managed to play out the notorious Rrailway top. In his usual modesty he said I don't really know myself. Thought I'd take it one shot at a time Experimenting with various one ups all over the place, and splits with all types of side. Slow as hell and rolling a Mile left it wasn't easy. Eventually getting a bit more consistent things somehow went OK. In context this achievement is nothing short of a miracle that I am sure will never be emulated. Personally I made 3 grand on it once 🤣🤣😋

If The Dude can manage that many on it now, what scores are going to be possible on the Railway table after Chocie has re-covered it in the summer ?
