Congratulations to Bob Hall for winning the Sussex Open.

Bob beat Simon Coleman in the Final. Simon had played brilliantly to reach that stage but only went off with just over 2k in the Final, that was his last visit as Bob played out the rest of the first leg and touched on enough in the second.

Paul Sainsbury and Martin Cole were the losing semi-finalists.

The plate was won by Daniel Wheal who beat Pete Sainsbury in the Final.

Thank you to Stuart Mepham, Alan & Jean Brackenridge and John Slee for arriving early on Saturday to help get the tables into the venue, and to Stu and Alan who did a lot of setting-up. Also a big thank you to everyone who helped take down the tables and allow us to clear the room quickly.

Matt for shouting and getting scorers shouting the raffle etc and not forgetting the Driving (not meaning the lift but Thankyou for that) the trolley with the tables on at the end.

Well done to Bob Hall on his first Open win and commiserations to Simon who had played very well to reach the final.

A big thank you to Stuart C for running the event but most of all to those who did all the hard work getting everything set up and taken down as without these few people who put themselves out and give up their time we would not have the opportunity to take part in such great days.

Some excellent games over the weekend and although the tables threw up different challenges and a few unnecessary moans (in my opinion) all tables were playable as the scores will prove. It is not easy to get there on the morning of competitions and get everything in place and then set up in about 3 hours and expect everything to be perfect and then add in the factor tables will settle over the day. I for one do not see many of those moaners putting themselves out to come along and help so please be respectful of those who do put themselves out.
