Tally ho boys and girls - off you go then, out there to score points, demolish pegs, drink a drink or two and do yer best! I'm looking forward to an evening in the company with my chums from the C&H - the one downside is that we are getting together at our pub and not theirs! Al; my good lady wife is busy sharpening her cue with you in her sights! You ready for this?? :D 8-)

Maypole A 2-4 Loci A:- A difficult night for the Loci lads & lass barring Mr H who evetually went to town after a slow start to his singles game. there was the usual fun & frivoloties & the half time nourishment was up to its usual excellent standard.

all looking dodgy as the newly promoted Woolie pink met the newly demoted sportsman at the woolie. And then had to give away the break! Much frivolity around the table......Millsy...you really must listen to her indoors and stop at 2!! a very predictable demolition of the woolie pink 1:5 took place but its not about the winning ........is it? ::)

Heavens no; it could never be all about the winning - no siree!
To prove that very point, the Railway shared the 6 points on offer with the C&H; thanks in part to a fortuitous draw and a surface which appeared to osscilate as, indeed, one gazed at it! In other words, being drawn first against the least experienced member of the opposition meant I finally broke my singles duck for the season and picked up a Brucie Bonus into the bargain. Singles shared; though quite frankly, the noise yon opponents made about the table was a tad embarrassing - they all being stout men and true of the BB world. KT even went so far as to warn me against EVER making any adverse comments about the C&H top again. Ever. He was smiling as he said it, so I know he was being serious. I do genuinely enjoy the evening whenever the C&H are involved - Gilb will inevitably have a fundraising scheme of some sort going on for the cricket club; Big Al will generally make the rest of us look daft by doubling whatever anyone else scores - except for last night! - and KT will moan and laugh in equal measure. Top team that.
Doubles were shared too; though we needed the final game to do so - step up my dear lady who at the first attempt slotted the red in the hundred for us to win my the smallest of margins. Naturally, I forgave her right there and then for having clattered the black peg earlier; refraining from pointing out that the final ball shenanigans would not have been necessary if this tiny mishap had not occurred. It was one of those "GET IN" moments and amply demonstrated just why it is we bother. ;) :D 8-)

No, unfortunately Millsy was the 1. He is still searching Sussex for a table that he likes!
