Well the start of the Summer League has arrived for the Swan, we had a bye the first week.
We are against the Carpenters Arms, who in the recent Winter League won Division 2 and on the overall table came second to the White Swan A. Yes thats right they beat the Six Mile Bottom SSC to second place overall! Well Done Carpenters :)
They will obviously prove to be our competition this league, we lost out last year on the final day to the Nelsons Head. So we are looking for the title this year :) 8-) We are fielding a good team of players tonight from: 3 White Swan A (Johnny George(C), Mark George, Keith Macdonald) 1 Longbow A (John Roos) 1 White Swan B (Peter Grant)
I'm the captain and will have to make the name tags, actually should do that now before I forget ;D
Will have a full match report later tonight.

Carpenters Arms 2 - White Swan 3
The final result was based on the final ball :o of the final match. Thank god my dad potted first time 8-)
Well as captain, I was saying lead by example and all that cobblers ;D then I scored 160. Never played so badly in all my life! Andrew 2,810 V Johnny Bravo 160
Next up was Keith Potter ;D he won comfortably broke with 760 and never looked back. Ian 1,600 V Keith Potter 2,400
Next up, Liam Elmer from the Six Mile Bottom was playing :o he is the runner up in the Under 30's and is mentioned in this years Coutny side. We had Peter Pan playing ;D ::) Liam was winning for 15 minutes then suddenly after slowing playing catch up Peter overtook and played brilliantly! Shock victory :o#However well deserved! Liam 1,310 V Peter Pan 1,410
Chris had the break for them and won comfortably with some real good shots, he is definatly one for the future! He is also another challenge for the Under 30's! John Roos tried hard however it just wasn't meant to be. Chris 3,560 V John Roos 560
The decider, with a contraversal decision according to the other team. The ball had come back and bounced off the D spot, the player claimed that it wasn't a foul because the ball had not left the table! It had. The ball also clearly was over the D after the ball stopped moving. Anyway close game with some crucial points lost by my dad at one stage. Though we won the night on the final ball ;D Paul 1,450 V Mark Presley 1,530
I give the table score a GENEROUS 6/10. It was poor tonight and the scores reflect this. The cushions were cheqing terribly and the rolls down the middle were noticable.
Why have we got silly names at the end, well thought it would be a laugh, though not too sure Johnny BRAVO was the right word for tonight ;D :-[
Well next week we are away again to the White Horse. Will report then!
Well done team, good win. :)
