A couple more for you Nige.
Kendal 2 - 3 Stadium D Wellie A 4 - 1 Windmill
The Stadium A v Wellie B game could have gone the other way.
Game 1. Tim was leading Alan for most of the game. Alan fought back at the end and ending up needing 110 with the last 2 balls. He played a lovely 100/30 shot to squeeze the win. 1-0 Game 2. Nick played a good, steady game against Sheena, who could not get going. 1-1 Game 3. Both Me and Brian tried not to win to start with. We both pegged about 2k each. I finally got going only mess a split shot up. Brian decided to start playing and ran away with the game. 2-1 Game 4. Garry gave Micky a good run for his money. When he ran out of steam, there was just enough time left for Micky to build a winning break. 3-1 Game 5. Mark got greedy with a 5k break. No looking back from that. 3-2

I got out of my sick bed to ensure Windmill had five players, and captain played me one so I could go when I wanted. Stayed to see result and left as fifth game got underway.
Duke had all five breaks, and from the first four games earned a well deserved victory on a table that was excellent on the break and very playable at the top end if you were patient.
Game one saw Dave Batrum against TJ. Dave off after leaving both up on firts obne up. TJ got 1.5k before playing a silly shot. TJ first back on break and made sure with 5k. 0-1.
Game Two. Brian Bartrum and Gina Sherratt making their best efforts not to win. Brian running out hte winner. 1-1.
Game Three. Chris Parsons against Dave Anscombe. Chris struggled on the break, but kept going, Dave couldn`t find the pace of the top end of table, Chris retreiving break enough to make sure. 2-1.
Game Four. An apology to the young man playing Bil Kerr, but did not take note of your name, shall ensure for thefuture that I do as I believe we are going to see it amoung the winners regularly, and with decent scores. Opened with 5.5k against Bill and retrieved balls to amass over 8k, giving Bill no chance. Believe this is first league win, but definitely not last on this evidence. 3-1.
Game Five, just getting under way as I left seeing Roy Chuter against Arthur Brewster, and on the 4-1 scoreline obviously a win for Roy. 4-1.
Well played the Duke with a deserved win on a table playing very well on the break, and as long as you were patient and played the correct shots, very reasonable at the top end.

Three Horseshoes 5 Romans B 0
We couldn`t beat them on a neutral table with even breaks but we could, giving all away at home. With only 4 players, the Romans were always going to struggle.
