Brewery Tap 4 -1 Albion A
Tap stay in contention with victory over the Albion.
This is how the bar billiards went
Richard Wooton 20,340 - 910* Doug Dawson
Chis Reeves 19,730 - 2,140* Jean Brackenridge
Gareth Lloyd 19,190 - 0* Alan Brackenridge
Marc Chipman 2,140 - 10,530* Bella Stoner
Nigel Senior 17,800 - 1,900* Caroline Retfalvi
Game 1 - Doug left the break short on 910. Richard made his 3rd 20k by running out the rest of the table. 1-0
Game 2 - Jean made 2,140 in 2 visits before Reevesey got them back. A quick fire 19k break followed 2-0
Game 3 - Alan never settled and although Lloydy had 3 visits he still made 19k+. 3-0
Game 4 - Bella took on Marc and left the balls ver awkward after a 2k start. Bella retreived the balls and got to 5,500. Marc missed his 2nd opportunity and let Bella back in for another 5k to make a very good 10k score. 3-1
Game 5 - Caroline made 1,900 off 2 breaks before nigel got a chance at the break. 8k and 9k breaks from Nigel made it a 4-1 win for the Tap
And this is how the darts went
Nigel & Chris v Jean & Bella. The Barneveld and Montoya of darts took on the Albion ladies. Chris & Nige were peppering the 20's and were soon down to a double but were struggling to take it out. Bella left Jean double top but she missed it by the widthe of the wire. Nige was left with 9 and got 3 but missed the double 3. Bella missed her opportunity and the crowd erupted as Reevesey took out double 3 that I set him up on. 1-0
Rich & Gareth v Sandra & Alan. The unbeaten pairing of Ric and Gareth started off steadily, but Gareth picked up the pace when he started to get all three darts in the scoring zone by his 4th or 5th visit. Gareth also finished it off in style with 10,0,D5 to take out a 20 outshot. Rich was not so confident as he asked Gareth to bust after 2 darts as he did not fancy being left an odd number. Lloydy cooly slotted it in the D5.
Marc & Caroline v Kev & Doug. Caroline subbing for the Tap and as she and Marc lost this leg we are going to claim it void to ensure a 2-0 win for the Tap. Kev, whose darting career has been riddled with dartitis, had to adopt a rather unique style - but it worked as he polished off the leg with a double 4.
We will play the Albion last match of the season and I am look forward to the reamtch of bar billiards....and darts
