Understand the Stadium D are having trouble raising a team due to Vince now being unavailable, and other circumstances at the pub. Believe they have rung Bill and awarded the game to the Windmill, will confirm once spoken to Bill this evening. Will he need to submit a score card and does it go as a 5-0 or a 3-2 if they have decided on said action.

Yes unfortunately Tony they are having trouble raising a team, as you may know they have only had 3 players to play us last week.
The game will be awarded 5-0 to your team, don't worry about a card. It is possible if the Stadium D do pull out entirely (obviously I hope they do not) that all games not played could be adjusted to 3-2 wins, which happened a few years ago when John Robertson's Battle of Waterloo team dropped out.

Thanks Nigel, I know they are going to do their best to fulfill the rest of the fixtures, but it looks as though they will not raise five for any games.

Romans A 3 Duke of Wellington A 2 Or - It's tough at the top.
P Aylemore 1160 Chris Parsons 1820 P Pitfield 2700 Dave Bartram 1200 D Nicholls 3050 Brad Wescott 600 T Stapleton 4090 Brian Bartram 3050 D Roberts 2630 Roy Chuter 2760
Close game with everything hinging on Terry beating Brian, with a bit of help from some canine friends!!!
Well done to the Romans, keeping the pressure on us at the top of division 2. Looks like this is going to go right down to the wire.
Tough game at home to the Albion next week.

Wellie B 1 - 4 Dyke A
No scores to hand but the games went as follows
Game 1. Pete was put on against Tupps. Pete is still struggling to get his on up right. 0-1 Game 2. Mark had a few unlucky shots but even this would not have helped against Colin. 0-2 Game 3. Tim, playing on the top he doesn't like, played well enough to beat Charlie to give us hope. 1-2 Game 4. I played Mick. A very scrappy game to start with. We both managed break each of around 2/3k before Mick pulled ahead at the end. 1-3 Game 5. Nick played well out of his usual place. A close game against Kev and just like my game could have gone either way. 1-4
A good game we could have won. We have to take the chances give to us against these top sides.

Brewery Tap stay top with 4-1 home win over Stadium A
Richard Wooton 7,390 – 1,210* Alan Messer Marc Chipman 0 – 8,460* Brian Muggeridge Gareth Lloyd 6,190 – 2,840* Sheena Wood Nigel Senior 5,310 – 3,000* Mick Pope Chris Reeves 11,800 – 2,570* Chris Elliott
Game 1 – Richard took out an early black peg after Alan's opener. Richard got the balls back for a 6k break, and then lost a 7k break. Richard had his moments including a 200 and a shot which clattered the peg but somehow it stayed up 1-0.
Game 2 – Brian and Marc both made 600 with their openers. Brian then settled with a 5k break. Marc then had the Tap’s 2nd black peg of the night, but got another chance at the break, but missed without making any inroads into Brian’s lead. Brian finished off to make over 8k, Marc finished with another black peg. 2-0
Game 3 – Gareth left it late in this one. After 2 goes at the break each the scores were locked at 3k each. Gareth made 3k in the last 3 minutes, to keep his unbeaten season going. 2-1
Game 4 – Mick missed his opening break, but got them back to make 2k before coming off . Nigel got them back to make 7k only for the white to roll on the D before hitting a split shot causing a thick contact and the red going through the left white peg. Mick got the break back and should have clinched it tp setup the decider, but another missed 50 pot let Nigel in for a 5k winning break. 3-1
Game 5 – Chris Elliott never looked comfortable, and although Reevesey black pegged his first 2k break (the Tap s 4th black of the night) he made up for it with an 11k on his second visit 4-1
Big game next week against the Horseshoes.

Albion 0 Three Horseshoes 5
Good result for the Shoes to stay in touch with the Tap. It`s never easy giving five breaks away, especially at the Albion but the home team (except Bella) never got going.
Jean 1,540 Kt 11,880 - Jean was off at just over 1k, I got them straight back and touched on at 10k.
Bella 6,980 Ian 7,900 - Game of the night. Bella opened with her score and Ian caught her up with his total.
Alan 3,490 Mal 4,760 - Alan had the break three times in all, Mal was chasing balls all over the place until about 7 minutes from the end and then finished off with 4k+.
Caroline 3,430 Geoff 9,490 - No repeat of saturdays form for Minky tonight, off quite early. Geoff retrieved the break and made a steady 9k and touched on. Caroline made 3k at the end.
Kev Stoner 290 Hayley 6,240 - Kev off at about 1200. Hayley got them back and made about 3k+. Kev retrieves and gets within 500. Hayley again got them back and made another 2k. Time was getting tight by now and Kev, eager to catch up, had one speed back to the 200 hole and unfortunately took the black peg. Well played Lady H :-*, your second good win this week (Inter league the other) ;)
