Yes a good day at the Hurst Club, tables all very different meaning that players had to adapt. The standard of the tables we got from Tarrets was again questionable, along with hearing that he is starting to increase his rental to pubs, a worrying situation for the game locally.
Chris and Dave played excellenly all day and ran out deserved and worthy champions. The day ran smoothly and special thanks to those who put themselfs out to score. My first effort , at running it and could not have got through without Nigel, Jean, Dave J, Dave I and Sparky.
Well done to Kev T and Kev H for winning the plate against Dave France and Barry Holt. Last but not least thanks to Rick C for a great day for us by reaching the final, with running it as well his calming influence and support lead to a good partnership.

Congratulations to the winners, runners-up and to the Organisers for a well-run day - especially BigTJ who despite the constraints on him in organising (including rustling up scorers each time, etc) made it to the main Final with the trusty Ric.
To pick up on his comment about the tables, yes, one table with 'proud pockets' and another with a collapsing ball tray - questionable quality to say the least.
A most enjoyable day though, and good luck to my playing partner H in the singles today. ;) ;D
