Windmill C 3 Dyke B 2
Excellent and entertaining evening at the Windmill resulted in a win for the home team. Wins for Windmill, TJ, Rick C, and Arthur Brewster. Wins for the Dyke by Terry Molloy and Terry Race.
The game turned on a super game between Arthur Brewster and Harry Leeson. Arthur opened with 7,900 and H played the table out with 6,900.

Albion B 1-4 Brewery Tap A
Win for Tap tonight puts them one win away from the title
Bernie Lawrence 3,040* - 7,910 Gareth Lloyd Nick Simmmonds 5,080* - 6,580 Richard Wooton Tim Scotney 1,880* - 7,830 Chris Reeves Gary Frizzell 2,330* - 2,270 Marc Chipman Mark Senior 1,150* - 13,280 Nigel Senior
Game 1 - Gareth Lloyd beat Bernie Lawrence with a good 7k break after several visits to get the break back. 0-1
Game 2 - Richard Wooton almost gave me deja vu when he very nearly repeated what Glenn Chubb did at the Swan last week when on 6k - very nearly pegging that break. It nearly wasn't enough as well as Nick Simmonds only lost 6,500 to 5,080. but the Tap were now 2-0 up
Game 3 - Chris Reeves capitilsed on a poor start by Tim scotney and scored over 7k to secure the important points for the Tap 0-3.
Game 4 - Gary Frizzell has been a thorn in our teams side in the past and won again against Marc Chipman, and looking back at the stats he is 2-1 up on him (he is also 2-1 on Richard as well!) 1-3
Game 5 - Father v Son. My dad broke off with nowt via the white peg. I got up to 12k to set up the highest score of the night 1-4
The Tap are one game away from the title, but for three players they were in the same boat last week. We are playing the bottom team the Romans A at home. Surely nothing could go wrong- Could it???????

Good result for you tony. Almost certainly (unless the Albion A won 5-0 tonight) the winner of your match against the Albion A next week will be Division 1 champions. If the Albion A won 5-0 tonight against the Romans A, then a 2-3 loss to you next week will leave both teams tied and a playoff necessary.

Here's a result you might be interested in Nigel. The Stadium A played the Three Horseshoes last night and Sheena Wood won a low scoring and very tense last game to give the Stadium a 3-2 victory and to guarantee the Tap the championship.
many congratulations to you and your team.

Yes, well done the Tap. We were hoping to take it right to the wire but the dreaded Stadium (back room) table found us out.
A.Messer 2300 Kt 7890 B.Muggeridge 1610 I.Lelliott 7720 M.Pope 3600 M.Spier 2800 J.Parsons 4080 H.Tunstall 700 S.Wood 1220 M.James 530
The first 2 games were reasonably comfortable for the Horseshoes. Micky Pope would have won by more had he not

sorry, hit the wrong button.
Micky Pope felled a peg when on another 3k break. Hayley could never retrieve the break leaving Jim to make it 2-2. Poor Mark, didn`t do a thing wrong. On a winning break when the red ball decided to topple off the spot with Mark in full swing, causing the cue ball to go thin and take out the right hand peg. The table is hard enough without anything else conspiring against the players.

The Stadium have saved us a potentially tense night at the Tap tomorrow. Well done to my teamates Marcus, Gareth, Chris, Michelle and captain Richard.
For me and Marcus it is almost a full set of Brighton team titles, we have won Div 3, Div 2, Div 1 (twice) and now the Premier. We also won the plate, but have not yet won the cup. The Horseshoes will have their chance for revenge in that final in 2 weeks, but I hope we can make it a double.
