I didn't quite understand that Kev. It would be great if you put a team in as the Montreal haven't been out there yet. The more teams the better. You entering a team then Kev?

Can`t get my lot interested in the summer, seems like they`re all played out. Some of us play in 3 leagues so i can see their point, needing a break maybe. As for my last comment, it sounded like you didn`t want to travel out as far as Lancing

Kev the Duke of Wellington would probably take just as long via the coast road so of course we would have popped along. Why don't you get together with Nigel and create a team for the summer?

Not sure Nige would want to travel even further than the Wellie for a Home game. I`ll see if the others will change their minds.

This way we will have 8 teams in the competition which is a lot nicer number than 7 that we have now. Nige

Great if the Shoes forms a team as Nige says 8 is a good number and for some of us it will be a home game as on the doorstep.

Nige, Roy from the Wellie has given me the £6 for our team. Can I give it to you on Friday and if so could you have some sort receipt I can give back to Roy (he has a band on at the pub and has to work).
He has also asked me to collect his trophies, so I think my bigger rucksack is needed.

We have a late entry to the Summer League - Sheena Wood's Stadium team. They will go into Group A, with the Montreal, Brewery Tap, Romans B & Windmill. The opening fixtures are the same as on the original fixture list, but obivously the rest have changed a bit to include the Stadium. I will type these up tomorrow and let captains have the changes.
So just to make it clear the opening fixtures on the 20th June are
Group A Montreal v Brewery Tap Romans B v Windmill Stadium bye
Group B Duke of Wellington v Romans A Three Horseshoes v Albion

Nigel
Why are some teams playing their games at different venues?
Cheers Gary

Post by NigelS on Jun 20, 2007 7:45:10 GMT
Gary,
I have altered the fixtures because we now have one extra team giving us a group of 5 and a group of 4. Because it takes 10 weeks to complete fixtures for a group of 5, and only 6 weeks for a group of 4, I have decided that the teams in the group of 4 will play each other 3 times-home, away and one match at a neutral venue. These neutral games will be played accoriding to Brighton Cup rules, each game being equal breaks.
I am leaving a copy of the new fixtures at the Montreal tonight, please make sure you pick yours up, Gary, and give the Brewery Tap team theirs.
