Well done Nige on completing a great weekend by winning Sundays off the spot. Mario winning the plate, congrats too. Sure somebody who was completely with it at the end ( not drink, but work commitments ) will put a fuller report.
Excellent day and my first experience of an off the spot competition, whetting my apetite to attend Jersey. unfortunately not this year due to a wedding ( some people are inconsiderate). have definitely now pencilled in next year.

Congratulations Nigel on a fine "Double".
At this rate you'll need to have a home extension built to house your trophy room. ;)
Whom did you vanquish in the off-the-spot final ?

Well done Nigel, I take it at looking at the scores that the speed cloth table is the one with the very low scores?

Not neceesarily Ian, don’t forget we were playing off the spot and so scoring and keeping scores were a bit more difficult than normal.
However the speed cloth table did see some carnage. Only Chris Tupper and myself played well on it in our quarter final match. Chris Reeves lost out on that table to Alan Brackenridge in the semis. I admit it is a frightening table at times especially when you see an innocent shot hit the back cushion and come back all the way to the 200 hole s it has to be setup uphill so you can get the break. I think that last weekend is set to be the last we will see of the speed cloth table at the stadium as it is about to be removed.
