Well, it would be worth all of that and more but for the recent mishandling. Cambridge League play on Jelkes tables, and this one was probably rented from Bar Billiards Ltd until they ceased trading. The previous landlord would have paid something near to a grand to buy it from them.

We had a table at the Horse & Harrow near Didcot, the team decided not to play anymore and then the landlord/lady saw fit to dump the table under a bike shed type thing when it was hammering down with rain, before it got shifted anyway.

well I would of loved to have had a game on the table, but the lack of any balls, pegs or cues made it a little hard plus it would of needed more than a quick brush to remove all the debris so I don't know how dead it is.
btw is a door nail the same as a floor nail? cos I know the flipping floor nail I knelt on wasn't dead and it drew blood :(

Amazing really! That one probably needs a good going over with vac and a good scraping while we are at it! The vac works well i find.

I was back at the Nelsons Head last week and I can report that the Bar Billiard table was standing outside the pub under an old smoking shelter that wont offer the table much protection from the weather and the landlord confirmed the table wont be making a return into the pub, "it has to go as soon as possible" was his words and he also said if anyone offered him £500 he would snap there hand off.
A sad end and another table to be removed from the map :-)

looks like I have got to go to St Ives this week, prob Wednesday so if I get chance i'll pop in the Nelsons Head to confirm that the table has gone, if not i'll pop across to the bank and offer the landlord a hundred quid, thats if the table is under cover and not water logged
