Group A Magnet A 2 Betteshanger 4 report below Plough & Harrow A, Bridge 6 Magnet B 0. The traingles-rules fifth leg saw Keith Symes & Ian Dennett edge Tanya Philpott & Donna Prior 1,850-1,830 - Keith was 420 behind with 4 balls remaining, and managed 200, 30 & 10, and another 200 to sneak the leg.

Tuesday 24th March 2009 Magnet A 2 : 4 Betteshanger Alma Lions John 4,030 3,300 Neville Lin 2,770 5,050 Chris Mike 4,120 4,600 Wack John & Lin 950 2,080 Neville & Wack Lin & Mike 890 2,930 Wack & Chris Mike & John 1,770 650 Chris & Neville A 4-2 away win at The Magnet in Deal saw The Betteshanger Club maintain top spot in the Spring Cup, Group A. The home side started well as John Higgins (4,030) won the first game, but the visitors hit back strongly as Chris Saville (5,050) won his game before Wack Sampson (4,600) scored a significant late maximum break to defeat Mike Callanan to put them ahead. The doubles matches started with wins for Sampson & Neville Potts (2,080) and then Saville & Sampson (2,930) to put the visitors out of reach before Callanan & Higgins (1,770) won the last game with some solid and timely breaks in the triangles' rules legs.
