02 June 2019 The Sussex Masters 2019 was played on Saturday 1st June and the two Mid Sussex qualifiers performed with a degree of success, Jan Bithell making the quarter-final of the Main competition, and Tony Jenner the quarter-final of the Plate. 03 June 2019 The 2019 Sussex Open was played on Sunday 2nd June, again at the Roffey Club, Horsham, and surprise package was HHUSC B’s Paul Jobbins, who made the quarter-final – his first ever in an Open: Paul and I were on the same bus home, and he was holding a mightily impressive trophy as reward for his efforts ! The HALL family, who have a strong past association with Mid Sussex, occupied 3 of the last 8 places in the Plate Quarter-finals, with Lorraine losing to Andy Burns 1730-7380, Bob losing to to Dave Gallichan 8040-8230 and Sandra beating Ben Wilding 5700-3620 before losing a semi-final to Andy Burns 4000-10710.
