Hi Lord Cheeky
It is next Saturday at the Woolpack 21.6
Not sure why you are out of the loop, thought you were on the league email list. If not sure your colleagues are?
Electronic communication does have issues in the league so please feedback

;D ;D Fantastic night, had brill time, and so chuffed to bits I got most improved player!!! ;D ;D Congratulations Kay on your well deserved award and to all of the other trophy winners this season. 8-) ;) It was great to see so many people there last night, including a lot of younger players....... 8-) ;D .....although unfortunately a few of the (slightly older!) regulars were unable to make it. :'( Excellent evening, very well organised, with HonChair making the long trip down to act as Master of Ceremonies. ;D One lovely West Sussex tradition is the filling of the cups by the winners, which are then passed around the room for all to share. 8-) Various (obviously highly alcoholic and with some very dubious contents! :o) concoctions were put together, including the famous "oh s**t" (Cranberry Juice, Peach Schnapps, Vanilla Vodka and Irish Moonshine :o) which I will simply say fully deserves it's name.....!! :-X ;D A couple of other "highlights" from the evening included the duet on the garden patio of the Woolpack by HRP and DA-DM (to Meat Loaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light") which I am sure will be remembered for months by the neighbours...... ::) ;D .... followed closely by some of the ladies dancing to the Timewarp and the Macarena..... 8-) A great evening, many thanks to Nick and his staff at the Woolpack who were wonderful hosts and provided a lovely cold buffet...... and to all the players who made Colleen & I feel so welcome this year and proved why West Sussex is such a great League to play in. ;D ;D 8-)

;D They'd have to wrestle the bloody microphone off me now, after *^$%^ years of doing the job - one I love too - I'll swear Judith had a tear in her eye when she came up to collect her ladies trophy. 8-) Alan Shaw being absent (he was unwell by the way) showed just how one person can seem to dominate a season - time for others to step up maybe? Colleen collected a number of trophies on her return to the league; and HRP was, and I promise you this; actually lost for words upon the announcement of most improved player. Though reconciling this with her winning the lowest winning score for, maybe the 3rd year on the trot is a toughie! ;) Sad, but seeing the look on peoples faces when they come up and shake Dave Graham's hand, is the best reason for holding the mike in the first place. :) :P
It was certainly a great evening, should have been better supported I suppose, but the important thing is that those who come along have fun and recognise the achievements of others. Was nice too to finally put a face to the name Mr Warrior! A pleasure to have met you and though you suggest it's maybe less likely, the friendliness of W Sx on a Wednesday must surely mean we'll see you next season?

I am sure that absolutely nobody wishes to wrestle the Microphone from you! ;D Certainly not me!!
Thanks for coming all the way down for the evening, sure it was good for you too seeing so many old faces, I guess the way you made the effort without question is part of why it was So right for you to receive your award!!
Think its time to change your name to Hon Vice President!! ;D ;)
HRP lost for words!! not often that happens!!
