All the main results will appear here as soon as possible, when time allows. But, in the meantime, just to let those know who were not present that:
Portsmouth won the 7-a-sides for the first time, beating holders Wallingford in the final when young Lee Radford beat not-quite-so-young Tony Martin in the deciding leg under extreme pressure. Well done.
Oxford regained the Ladies title from holders Witney.
Chris Storch captured his first Under-22 title. A heartening NINE youngsters took part, so I would like to thank all their parents and/or mentors for bringing them along to give us a very encouraging start list. He beat Dave Bartlett (not the well known Dave Bartlett from Oxford as HE is a bit older than 22!!!) in the final after trailing at the midway stage.
High break awards went to Steven Sheard, Pauline Withey and Chris Storch.
As I say, further details of averages and stats later....

A very well run day thanks Pete and Dave, the schedule was spot on time, not too sure about the venue though, a lack of seating and tables meant i spent most of the day on me feet :'( well done to Portsmouth, even though we managed to beat them 4-3 :D just (sorry Chris)

At least the red boots got a good workout.
I think the chairs thing actually helped to get the scorers we required as the older ones amongst us had to sit down a few times during the day. I know you are still very young Ian (allegedly) but the Inter-Area is totally in the hands of the Oxon committee who have the decisions to make on venue. The Inter-Area simply cannot afford to hire the tables separately, without a massive increase in subs.

They are plimsoles 8-) I wasn't a fan of the venue no, no table for us to sit at, :-/ Yes very young, :-X I wonder what the general concensus was on the room. ???

That reminds me of the old sitcom Bootsie and Snudge from the 60s. Bootsie had been excused boots in the Army Game and had to wear plimsoles "'cause of me feet!"
Shame you are too young to remember that one Ian

William Hartnell (officer, later first Dr Who)) Michael Medwin (cpl) and Bernard Breslaw (Popeye) were in it, but I do not remember Clive Dunn being a regular anyway. Are you thinking a few years later in Dad's Army (Cpl Jones, "They don't like it up 'em").
Alfie Bass played Bootsie and Bill Frazer played Snudge. There was a spin off later where they worked in a hotel

Before you ask, the (c) just denotes that they were team captains. If there are any other forum users wanting to know where they finished in the averages, please ask. No other comments will be coming from me as I simply dare not.....

That is: the youngsters themselves and their mentors/parents....
