Semi Final Result
Oxford A 3 Wallingford C 2
Keith Sheard 15.520 Mike Shephard 1,840 Jason Cattermole 310 Paul Caistor 1,710 Kevin Godfrey 970 Terry Alder 8,730 Steven Sheard 12,220 Dave Barnes 500 Alan Oliver 10,130 Jimmy Robson 1,100 Agg. 39,150 to 12,880
I started nervously with a break of 3,000, Mike got the break straight back but came off with just over a 1,000, I got back on and scored another 12,000. Jason lost a break of nearly 9,000 to give the game to Paul. Kevin failed to get the break back but Terrry did play well to get a 5,000 break in his score. Steven opened with a break of 4,000 and got a second break of 7,000, Dave was unable to get the break back. Alan dominated his game playing steadily against Jimmy.
Two good points for the C side but a good aggregate for us of around 26,270. It sets the match up for a good second leg where we will have to play well because the Portcullis is a very high scoring table.

2nd Leg Wallingford C 0 Oxford A 5 Jimmy Robson 2,060 Kevin Godfrey 10,810 Mike Shephard 1,970 Steven Sheard 11,060 Paul Caistor 2,110 Jason Cattermole 13,000 Terry Alder 450 Keith Sheard 21,400 Dave Barnes 1,710 Alan Oliver 4,830
Oxford A won 8-2 over the 2 legs with a total aggregate of 100,250 to 22,180
Breaks: Kevin 8,210, Steven 6,500, Jason 6,000 & Me 21,400 the highest break of the competition so far, beating Mark Turners 16,000 + break. (sorry Mark).
Winning the first game made all the difference, as it seemed to deflate the home sides confidence.
May I thank the Wallingford team for a great night & friendly atmosphere & for having a very good & fair table. Well done on reaching the Semi Final.
Many Thanks.
Keith.
