York ruined our season when they forced us (through tribunal) to play the game on 5th April which had been postponed owing to their waterlogged pitch. We picked up two injuries, were thrashed 5-0 and had to put our reserves out the next day for the Surrey Senior Cup Final - which of course we lost. So for that reason alone..................... Good luck to Oxford United at Wembley ! Well Tommo we done it at last. 33000 thousand fans cheered us on to victory.A day I wont' forget it was just magical.I just about managed to drink a couple of bottles of bubbly to finish off the day with the last glass was a bit of a struggle as I was already topped up with beer ;D. All I can say now is GOODBYE RUSHDEN AND CHEERIO KETTERING ;D :) Best of luck next season Pete

Slow start for Poppies and for Diamonds, but AFC quick out of the blocks with 9 points and no goals scored against. 8-) It's good to be a Womble. :D
Only blot on the landscape is Crawley Town spending money like they had a license to print it - even tried to buy Danny Kedwell off us, the cheeky beggars. >:( Tiny core of supporters due to extortionate prices. With Crawley it will all end in tears as per usual no doubt. ::)

It's gone pearshaped already................. .......trailing 0-1 to the dire ones, in a game where we only have 42% possession against the team propping up the rest of the table. :( 15 mins left to salvage something. Sounds like Diamonds were worth their win, we hardly got a kick in the second half.

Sounds like Diamonds were worth their win, we hardly got a kick in the second half. Vast improvement from previous showings Tommo and a cracker from our former plop. AFCW looked a well organised side early on and should have taken the lead after 5 mins. But the Diamonds started to take control after that and that showed when the away side took off their right-back after 20 minutes, who was struggling to handle Green. We'll take this victory, but Wimbledon will be up there at the end of the season!

That would be Sammy Hatton, a very skilful and creative midfielder who has been experimented with at right back since Coventry City came in for Chris Hussey. You're right, we need another specialised full-back to release Sammy fo where he plays best. Happy birthday today, by the way, Big Stew !

Wow, the stuff nosebleeds are made of ! :o
Another game in two days time could see us bag our 15th point (well I can dream..........)
Will have one eye on the result of the Northants derby - what a great fixture for the bank holiday. Should be a bumper crowd.

AFC Wimbledon are back on top after beating Crawley 2-1 tonight. Would now like to see Diamonds finishing the job by putting the boot in to Crawley on Saturday. ;D

Phew ! Thank god an easy draw in the cup. Still could'nt take us even when the ref decided to try and even things up a bit by sending off one of our players! Still, the county's biggest three clubs are in the first round! ;D ;)

Fair play in the first half we just didn't turn up. In the second half you turned into a bunch of dirty hoofers but if thats what you have to do to win ! .Personally I would not pay to watch that "style" of football.

Yeovil Town next then, with home advantage. We could be seeing Diamonds in the draw for the Third Round ! ;)
