Fair play in the first half we just didn't turn up. In the second half you turned into a bunch of dirty hoofers but if thats what you have to do to win ! .Personally I would not pay to watch that "style" of football. Did you gain free entry then Leigh?

What's this Jamie Stuart like, that we've just signed from Diamonds? A great leader and superb in the air for an under six footer. Not sure he could do a job in footy league if you get promotion! ???

Great bit of skill from th lad and a decent finish. I have no quarms about the result, even tho i was dissapointed. Diamonds only had themselves to blame after losing to an understrength and weak Plops side. You were gunna beat us sooner or later, gain your next victory in another 12 years! ;)

Dons back on top with a 5-0 win, whilst both closest rivals drew. :D 8-) Wins also for Kettering and Rushden & Diamonds. ;)

Looks as if it's all over at Non park. All players released (one of them has even placed this on facebook)750k debts. Bank accounts have been frozen Could someone shut the light off on the way out .

An article in this week's Non-League Paper puts Diamonds' position as untenable, with a winding-up petition due to be heard next month.
The Poppies, though debt-free, face being homeless in two years with the Rockingham Road lease expiring, and no council backing for a new stadium.
Poppies Chairman Imraan Ladak is said to favour a 'coming together' of the two clubs - not a merger as such, and not a takeover, but involving Kettering Town moving to Nene Park! They would wish to attract supporters from both clubs and as a goodwill gesture would take on a new name.
This would seem to make a lot of sense when the alternative could be losing both Conference Premier Clubs! Hell would freeze over first you might say, but remember that successful mergers have recently come about down south to form Ebbsfleet Utd - and also Hayes and Yeading.

Now cofirmed and even i'm a bit miffed! ??? news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/t/tamworth/9496197.stmMore rumours are that Kettering are to play at Nene Park next season with Justin Edinborough taking over as manager and Diamonds to start in the UCL. Not sure how many fans will make the 20 minute journey to Irthlingborough for a home match and with the running costs being sky high, they may even go the same way as Rushden!

Wombles have just signed Max Porter, ex Diamonds, "To put a bit of bite into midfield."
How do you rate him, Big Stew ? :-/

Wombles have just signed Max Porter, ex Diamonds, "To put a bit of bite into midfield." How do you rate him, Big Stew ? :-/ When he signed Two seasons ago, during the play-off season, he was excellant and fought off other central midfielders to become a regular. Last season i thought he went backwards a little, possibly because he did'nt have the likes of Paul Terry playing behind him. Having said that, he made his way into the England C side and is now captain. Won't score many, but will give 110% and he will add some bite to your side. A good addition as he hasn't cost you anything!
