hi Mike
Nice to see some new faces at our friendly on Sunday particularly the younger players on show, i noted that your coming nuptials may have dampened your concentration a bit but we wish you and your new spouse well for the future.
best regards Colin

cheers for that. The wedding went really well and everyone had a good time. So 9-9 over two legs. That seems to suggest to me that we should play another match sometime in the not too distant future. I hope we can get another arranged at some point fairly soon and if we do, I look forward to the next game whenever it may be.

Congratulations on your recent marriage, Mike, and it's also good to see what must amount to a revival in fortunes of the Hastings and Bexhill league. 8-)

Great news that Hastings have re-affiliated with Sussex County and will be taking part in the Home & Away Inter League competition again this season after a break of 12 years. 8-)
Many thanks to Bob Osborne and Colin Southouse (Eastbourne) who I know have both put in a lot of work to make this possible. ;D
I hope that you enjoy the competition and look forward to meeting some of you at the One Day Inter League Competitions and, hopefully, some of the Individual Competitions that are run by SCBBA.

Hi BB Fans
We have arranged an interleague 9 man friendly at the Hurst Arms Eastbourne the opponents will be a joint home team with players from eastbourne and hastings and a joint away team from various teams in brighton selected by lifesabitch.

Hi Hastings BB Fans
Stew and I popped into the Anchor to check the table out, V Slow with a big right hand roll all over except the right 50 and 30 which rolls to the left?
Walked back to the bar and said to Stew "interesting top" just as the buxom bar maid walked passed...i think from the look she gave me she misunderstood the context of my comment :-[ regs cs

You ought really to say which period those stats cover, Gandalf, as I'm sure Julian and Sean would have played a lot more games than that in their time and had a few 20k's along the way. The late Don Climpson was also a 'great' of Hastings B'Bs.

The late Don Climpson was also a 'great' of Hastings B'Bs. It looks to me as if they are taken from the "all-time" Division 1 statistics on the Sussex Website, which covers the period from 1992 onwards.... nice to know that some people look at those from time to time. 8-) ;D Sean Taylor had two 20k's (22,160 and 20,460) in that time and Julian Deeprose hit 24,010 in a home match in 1992/3 Season.... ;)

Hi Hastings bb fans
looks like the Plough will have a 2nd team in hastings next season filled by Eastbourne players
looks also like there could be upto 3 additional teams wishing to register in the lewes league next year if they will have us!
Eastbourne will probably continue on in some form and will definately have an interleague team next season and beyond
good news all round, but still subject to Eastbourne,Lewes and hastings league approvals

We're Back! Thursday 13th January We're delighted to announce that bar billiards is back up and running in Hastings. As a starting point we have decided to run a friendly league between the four remaining team in the town. The league will run between January and May with an emphasis on getting back on the baize and having some fun. Many thanks to Ian Hicks who has set up the fixtures and the rest of the Jenny Lind B team for getting the league off the ground.
Week Two Results Thursday 20th January The Jenny Lind derby was saved by our friends from Eastbourne, the game was nearly a three game match due to Covid but the ex Nags Head B team stepped in to ensure a five game match, unfortunately for the A team even their new signings they couldn't stop a 5-0 win for the home team. Steve Astley, Ian Hicks, Jez Horsler and Alec Pope won the first four games for the Jenny Lind B before Colin Southouse scored the highest score of the night (8,000) to ensure a 5-0 win. The Ashburnham Arms completed the double over the Old King John with another 3-2 win. The home side took a 3-0 lead with wins from Dave White, Mick Osborne (7,590) and Sandy Harmer. Andy Ellison and Chris Lamb won the final two games of the night for the visitors to lift themselves off the bottom of the table.
