Lin Callanan (1,890) and Mike Callanan (2,870) put the Magnet ahead, before a Market Inn success for Alan Farra (7,960), courtesy of a 6,480 break. Dave Carliell & Farra edged Mike Callanan & John Higgens 3,970-3,920 in the first doubles to level, Lin Callanan & Mike Callanan (2,640) regained the Magnet lead, and finally Farra & Gareth Butcher (4,480) won to force the draw.
The Two Sawyers won 4-2 away to the Market Inn A, to condemn the Sandwich side to bottom-spot. Craig Carlson (4,320) put the home side in front, before Sawyers victories for Alan Smith (4,900) and Gary Clarke (5,310). Smith & Richard Cousens (3,180) took the first doubles, Derek Latham & Ted Hogben (4,060) gained a point for the Market Inn, before Clarke & Smith (5,850) secured the match for the visitors.
In Division Two, Royal Oak extended their lead with a 5-1 win at home to the Plough & Harrow from Tilmanstone. Steve Lake (2,330) and Roger Oldfield (3,850) won either side of a Plough victory for Ann Keen (1,800). All the doubles went to the Nonington side, via Oldfield & Mark Graves (3,820), Graves & Lake (2,960) and Lake & Oldfield (1,680).
