This forum is for promoting the game of bar billiards and the communication of results, humour and information. It must never be used as a means to be unpleasant to any other person (member or non member) or for posting adult or copyrighted material.
We welcome debate and humour, if you are trying to be humorously contential then use smilies to indicate it. Not everybody will understand your wit and may take offence.! There is no opportunity to retract the written word, think before you post!
Do NOT flame other users or use abusive language of any form.
Adult/ sexually explicit material/jokes are not permitted and contravene the Proboards Terms and Conditions. Innuendo yes - crude NO!!
Do not post copyrighted material, especially relevant to pictures.
By all means discuss local issues, but remember decisions can ONLY be made at your league committee meetings.
Any member can ask for a contentious thread to be locked for 24hrs. He/she will need to justify this to the staff who will decide whether it is reasonable for the thread to remain locked.
Any thread that becomes contentious will be locked for 24 hours to cool off or removed to the staff area for staff discussion, The thread will be annotated to that effect. Any attempt to start a further thread in the cooling off period will result in an immediate ban.
Moderators will leave comment on any posts they delete or sanitise. Any attempt to repost moderated material will result in an immediate ban.

If not happy with a staff member's decision or post you may ask for an appeal to the staff in general. A staff panel will discuss complaints in the staff area and reach a decision. All staff panel discussion will be private and the decision reached final and not debateable.
Problems spotted in posts will normally be discussed by available staff members before action, however any staff member is empowered to make any decision necessary for the smooth running of this forum or to protect its future. Argue with a staff member and you will be banned immediately, use the appeal procedure.
Any antisocial behaviour will result in an ASBO / temp ban / permanent ban.
Profanity will be removed on sight. Repeat it or continued use of profanities will result in a ban.
Adult or copyrighted material will be removed on sight. Repeat it or continued use will result in a ban.

Proxy posting is not allowed. If any member is suspected of relaying posts from a third party, or allowing his/her account to be used by a third party then that member will IMMEDIATELY be liable to exclusion from the forum.
If you have knowingly or unknowingly allowed your logon details to be passed to a third party it is your responsibilty to immediately change your password.
If you suspect that your account is being used by a third party then you should in the first instance report this to a moderator of this forum, failure to do this will leave you open to further sanctions
