Have pm`d Jasons number to you Kev, and will look at tables, awkward to find totally neutral with so many players being multi registered.

Tj, perhaps when you ask for entries next year, you could ask all players to state what leagues they play in, to avoid early problems. ;)

I beat Doug 2-0 at Duke of Wellington tonight....
Doug won the toss and put me on, I opened with 7.5k and added a few more later to win the first..... 8-)
Very bizarre second game...... :o
Doug was off early (don't know if it was a kick or if one of the balls moved as he played a break shot), I got the balls back second visit but broke down at just under 4k.... :'( ...... Doug fluked the break back, thanks to a ball finding it's way into the 200 hole, then settled down and was going well at over 8k when he managed to knock the ball off the D with his cue while lining up his next shot...... :o.
Despite a desperate attempt to stop it, the ball rolled onto the playing surface and Doug immediately walked away from the table...... much to my surprise as I hadn't seen the incident. :-[
The bar went shortly afterwards giving Doug no chance to catch me and handing me the win....... :'(
Doug, as always, was as gracious in defeat as he ever is in victory...... 8-) ........a most unfortunate way to lose (or win) a match. :-[
Many thanks to TJ for scoring the games for us..... ;)

Colin Southouse beat Henry Brooks 2-0.
TJ beat Dave Jones 2-1. TJ off at just over 1k leaving both up on break. Dave did same at first attempt at split. TJ added a couple of 2k breaks to win about 7k-2k.
Dave opens with impeccable 7k adds another 3k to win just short of 11k -0
TJ off at 2.4k and thinks all over only for Dave to come off at 400. TJ ads another 24, Dave break back off at 2.3k. TJ adds another 3k to make sure around 9k -3k.
Thanks to Bill Kerr for coming along to score.

Ros and Tj beat Kevin and Bella 2-0. Good games with TJ winning first with 4k break. 2nd nip and tuck all the way, Bella came off after bar leaving Ros needing 210 to win with four balls, 2 x100 shots left one in hand and one between left hand 30/20 hole. Going up table hits peg and moves off spot but as balls both drop (20/30) peg wobbled and stood to give win by 40.

Dave Ingram gave myself a right thumping 2-0 last evening.Dave played superbly and in the first recorded his highest ever competitive score, thanks to Collwwn for scoring although for the amount of table time I had I might as well have done that.
Good luck to Dave in semi finals.

If that was played on the Limeburners i'm not surprised you had a thumping as Dave would have had a go on it in a league match the night before

If that was played on the Limeburners i'm not surprised you had a thumping as Dave would have had a go on it in a league match the night before It was played at the Albion in Brighton...... I had already told Tony 2 weeks ago that I was playing at the Limeburners on Tuesday night, before we had arranged a date to play the match. Tony very kindly scored my Brighton Plate Singles (yes, that was played at the Albion.... :P) before we played this match and he had the choice (of any venue that he wanted in Sussex) of where we played the Captains Cup match...... I was surprised when he said "lets stay here and play", although obviously happy to do so. ;D I do not arrange my matches "conveniently" immediately after I have played a table, without telling my opponents and giving them either the choice to re-arrange the date (to before, or some time after I am playing the table in question) or, as I am sure TJ can confirm in this instance, the venue. :P >:(

My choice of venue, as Dave was playing there and I was going to score I had intended to go elsewhere, but decided that I wanted to get match played without to much travelling about ( due to stinking head cold ), had my chance with my break in second game but on the three occassions I got the braekback I pegged the 100 split. Dave had told me that he was due to play Limeburners night before, and we arranged the date with an open ended venue choice.

I must admit the thought had crossed my mind.....................
When a new 'PB' was mentioned for Dave, the first impulse for anyone interested is to check out which table it was achieved on: At the start of this thread it said ' @ Limeburners' and the recent writeup of Limeburners v Plough where Dave got 9k would still be fresh in the mind.
And of course there was also much challenging and bartering on venues on this thread once the Sussex draw came out.
So all's fair and hopefully no harm done. What were the scores, incidentally ?
