Dear All Now Adam has issued the draws etc. for 2010, I can advertise the fact that I have put together a website purely as a resource for the Inter Area and its competitions. There are forms, rules and minutes to download, this years draws and last years statistics to look at, along with many other things. I will update the pages as the results come in. You can find the website at: www.interareabarbilliards.co.uk/now interareabarbilliards.co.uk/Please have a look and send any ideas, problems or suggestions to me via PM thanks Tony Willis

Very good, Tony.
One or two points to make though.
In the draw you have 2 Reading A's and was it by luck that 2 teams from the same association have not clashed this year in the 1st or 2nd Rd or did you put teams back in the "hat" by mistake? (see rule below)
Also the rules need updating because two of my proposals 3 years ago were excepted at the AGM.
They are; 1. The Inter Area draw is now done normally, so rule 10 can be omitted.
(10. Teams from the same association will not meet in rounds 1 and 2.)
2. The maximum time for Inter Area is the same as AEBBA rules and that is 20min's, so rule 17 needs changing.
(17. Each leg should last between 15 and 19 mins, if normal time of the table is outside this, a stop watch must be used to time for 17 mins. If the bar drops before 15 mins has been played, a further coin should be inserted to play up to the normal time. If is has not dropped after 19 mins, balls must be removed from the tray as they drop.)

I've just read the minutes of the 2010 AGM and it says Reading A v Wallingford B and Reading B v Wycombe B, so that's that one sorted.

as far as i can remember nothing was re drawn, i think the last 4 teams were where there could of been but all came out that way, is there now an issue or has what Tony has said sorted it?
Let me know

Thanks Keith - I put an awful lot of stuff on there very quickly so I am amazed I have only made one mistake. ::) The rules are a set that I presume were given to Adam by Tony E via PF. All the committee are new to the job so please be patient with us and give us loads of positive input like Keith has. As you know the IA has been a little haphazard recently so any updates to rules may not have been incorporated. Keith - have you (or anyone else) a copy of the minutes from the meeting in which they were accepted? The draw was not redone AFAICR this year so no problem there and as we play under AEBBA rules then the time thing can be done without reference to an AGM.
I'll make the changes when I get home from work....
cheers Tony

Dear All I have put all the data from Adam Cox's email to League secretaries on the Inter Area website at www.interareabarbilliards.co.uk/ including results from Round One of both the Main Competition and the C team Shield, averages of all players to date and have started a blog for the result cards. You can subscribe to this but as I only anticipate updating it after every round there is not much point TBH. Please let me know ASAP if you see any blatant errors or if something doesn't work for you. I create it on a Mac so there may be things that don't look too good on a PC (ugh :D) There is one known error in a score and we are trying to resolve the truth....but I bet Keith finds it before we fix it! ;D ;D Honeymoon period is over so get your results to Adam on time please... cheers Tony

All neat and tidy, Tony, BUT ;D three things that I've noticed, they are; 1. You have Wallingford B down as Wallingford A in the results. 2. Chris Webb didn't turn up, so his name should not have been left on the results for the C Team Shield for Oxford C against Oxford Ladies, it should be "no player". 3. Chris Webb's average includes that match above and I don't think it should do.
Keep the good work up, as these Websites are good to see all the stats in one place. 8-)

Well I assume Chris was put into the draw in the hope that he turned up so probably he should be in there and so I assume that Adam left it in as such. Wallingford A/B - I always doing that - I'll have a look. BTW I fixed all the other mistakes before you got there! ;D ;D Thanks Tony Addendum; All fixed - the perils of cutting and pasting! I've added a note by Melissa's game so that there will be a record of what happened.

One more for you. ::)
In the match between Ox B & Wal A the total agg's are wrong, they should be Ox B 46,010 not 18,750, Wal A 66,970 not 53,830.
I know what your thinking......................GO AND GET A LIFE!! ;D
There is a horse running today in the National called "Dont push it" :P but I have done "Black Apalachi" instead. ;D

I see that Mick Shephard of Wallingford C has won 6/6 with an average of 10,165, that's a great average for a "C" team player....well done Mick. 8-)

I can't remember the last time I looked at a rule book! ;) ;D Seriously though, congratulations on making this site so easy to read and for all the hard work in keeping it updated. 8-) I'm very impressed with all the websites that I've looked at recently, all are updated regularly and very neat & tidy. The only ones that surprises me are the Guernsey one because you have to log in to see anything and the Oxford as nothings been updated for this Oxford season!...I will wait for the backlash from Mark now. ::) Keith
