In the Dover, Deal & District Bar Billiards League Group A, Chequer Inn won 5-1 away to the Market Inn A. John Addley (6,480) won, Tim Bourner edged Ted Hogben 3,290-3,210, and Chris Saville (4,440) completed a sweep of the singles. Wack Sampson & Addley (2,810)
ensured the match victory, before Derek Latham & Hogben (2,800) gained the Market's point. Addley & Saville (2,270) took the last leg for Chequer.
Betteshanger Club from Deal enjoyed a good 4-2 home win against the Two Sawyers. Warren Cowdrey (4,870) and Ricky Cowdrey (3,260) put Betteshanger ahead, before a Sawyers victory for Stuart Richardson (3,110). The first two doubles went to Betteshanger, via Dave Howarth & Ricky Cowdrey (1,830) and Ward Griffiths & Howarth (1,620), and Gary Clarke & Alan Smith (1,130) took the last leg for Sawyers.
The Royal Oak beat the Magnet B 4-2 in Nonington. Roger Oldfield (2,260) put the Oak in front, before Magnet wins for Donna Prior (1,730) and Shirley Cowdrey (1,590). The Oak then took all the doubles for the match, courtesy of Oldfield & Mark Graves (820), Graves & Steve Lake (2,170) and Lake & Oldfield (2,510).
In Group B, the Market Inn B enjoyed a 4-2 victory away to the Plough & Harrow B from Bridge. John Fullager (5,540) and Kevin Kay (5,220) put the Plough ahead, before Gareth Butcher (4,790) won for the Market.
