£5 per player ? Any reason for the 66% increase in entry fee ? It was agreed by the other County Secretary's that the fee will be £5 just to cover costs etc. If we run a raffle I might have to buy some raffle prizes. We would also like to make a small profit to keep the County Association account in a healthy position. If the entries are well supported I will use the extra funds to increase trophies.....Winner -Runner Up.- Semi finalist,? Highest break Men's & Ladies, so let's see what happens first. Cheers Pete PS Yes and bigger trophies ;D

Pete, I've no problem with your selection of trophies as they are always very good. :)

Will you be able to enter on the day ? It seems that a lof of players i have spoken to are either not playing because of the increase in fees or are waiting to see if Oxford are going to be playing at wembley on this day!

Hi Mark Bit of a tricky one at the moment.
I was hoping to do the draw etc before the day. Regarding fee,s I'm prepared to drop the price back to £3 if it's going to get more entries but I will have to discuss it with my fellow officers from Wall, Wit. & Eyn first.
Yes I'm worried about the day as well after Oxford losing at Stevenage so Wembley is on, but you never know with Oxford.
I will update Cheers Pete

Please enter Steven Sheard & Keith Sheard.
The dates below mean that IF Oxford make the play off final those players that hope to go to Wembley will know after the 4th May, so you will still have time to make the draw before the 16th.
29 Thu 1. Blue Sq Prem Play-Off Semi-Final 1st Leg 30 Fri 2. Blue Sq Prem Play-Off Semi-Final 1st Leg 03 Mon 1. Blue Sq Prem Play-Off Semi-Final 2nd Leg 04 Tue 2. Blue Sq Prem Play-Off Semi-Final 2nd Leg 16 Sun The Blue Sq Prem Play-Off Final
I would also like to see it go back to £3 entry fee, as it's only a County Singles!!

As we are not going to know about Oxford Utd until after the closing date for this and not wanting to depart with money and not being able to enter, can we enter now and then confirm and pay later ?
If so, can you please enter
Mark Trafford Ian Gordon
Thanks

Cheers Pete I agree too Pete (as I'm sure you have been trying to get in touch with me ;D ) Just buy really cheap and nasty trophies so that the County doesn't lose money on the competition..... ::) cheers Tony

Pete
if the Playoff final is on that Sunday 16th then I'm sure that I will be available to run it on the day with the players that are left! It's only a straight knock-out so it won't be difficult I'm sure.
cheers Tony

Blue Sq Prem Play-Off Semi-Final 2nd Leg 16 Sun The Blue Sq Prem Play-Off Final You can ignore the previous dates as they have now changed. ??? Following the announcement of television coverage for the Blue Square Premier 'Promotion Final', it is unlikely the Semi-Finals will be televised. In which case, the Semi-Finals can be played on the same evening. The First Leg matches will, therefore, be played on Thursday 29 April 2010 (k.o. 19:45) and the Second Leg fixtures will be played on Monday 3 May 2010 (k.o. 15:00) The 'Promotion Final' will be at Wembley National Stadium on Sunday 16 May 2010 (k.o. 17:00)

£5 per player ? Any reason for the 66% increase in entry fee ? PS Yes and bigger trophies ;D <rant>I expect that most, if not all, of the players entering have won more trophies than they could possibly display. Size isn't everything ;) I wouldn't care if it is a £2.50 medallion as long as it said "Oxford County Singles Winner" on it. In fact I would prefer it. Huge trophies are far too ostentatious and a waste of members subs.</end of rant>
