In the Dover, Deal & District Bar Billiards League, the leaders in Group A, The Chequer Inn, Ash kept their 100% record with a 4-2 win away at The Two Sawyers. The visitors won all three singles, via Tim Bourner (5,850), Chris Saville (5,300) and John Addley (7,290). Sawyers wins from Stuart Richardson & Richard Cousens (1,530) and Cousens & Alan Smith (1,840) put them in with a chance to snatch a draw, but Wack Sampson & Bourner (1,930) saw the visitors home.
Second-placed Market Inn A won 5-1 away to the Magnet B. Ted Hogben (4,010) and Derek Latham (5,200) won either side of a Magnet victory for Shirley Cowdrey (3,190). Some close doubles games all went to the Market, via Hogben & Latham (1,350), Craig Carlson & Hogben (2,000) and Latham & Carlson (2,670).
Betteshanger Club drew 3-3 at home to the Royal Oak. Mark Graves (2,430) and Roger Oldfield (3,900) put the Oak ahead, before a Betteshanger success for Warren Cowdrey (2,700). Warren Cowdrey & Ricky Cowdrey took the first doubles 1,590-1,470, Dave Howarth & Ricky Cowdrey (1,760) put Betteshanger in front, and finally Steve Lake & Oldfield (1,640) forced the draw.

In the first doubles, Lin Callanan potted the last ball down the 200 as she & John Higgens won 1,730-1,590, and Mike Callanan & Higgens (3,250) gave them advantage, but Butcher & Dave Carliell (1,970) were able to force the draw.
The Plough & Harrow B from Bridge won 4-2 away to the Plough & Harrow A in Tilmanstone. John Fullager (3,830) and Kevin Brocklebank (3,210) put Plough Bridge ahead, but Karen Keen (3,550) gained the last singles for Plough Tilmanstone.
