Atlas 2 Swan B 3
Martin S 2,870 Barry H 5,460 Plenty of goes each on the opener in what looked like a very nervy game, both players having several goes at the break.
Grant T 10,560 Mat S 4,340 Not the normal 10k and touch from Grant but did seal it second time.
Steve M 10,570 Brian R 4,950 Couple of goes each before Steve finished it off.
Ian L 2,820 Rog T 5,800 Ian was very unlucky to peg his 7k opener, Rog getting the break back straight away and touching up.
Mark J 2,620 Doug M 10,910 Doug kicked off with a sound 10k and touched only to hear that there was enough time (just) for Mark. But the balls went a bit difficult before Mark could get the break back and time was against.
Thanks to the Atlas for some great food and drink. Mat said it was the best pint of Harvey's he has had this year, I was on Everard's Tiger (also excellent). Food was amazing, 4 different pizza's (great pizza's) plus two bowls of wedgies. All in all, a great night for the Swan!!

Ball Tree 2 Romans 3 I blame Jean myself, fancy going on holiday in Bar Billiard season. Great evening. Well done to both of the Bartrums and Lorraine for 5000+ breaks. I lost complete control of Sandra after putting her on first.

Believe Horseshoes A took big step towards the Premier title with 3-2 win at home to Duke and with Atlas losing at home.
Schooner keep pressure on Old House with win at Swan, awaiting their result v Horseshoes B

Three Horseshoes `A` 3 Duke of Wellie 2
Glad to say it`s only my form that has disappeared recently, Kev,Lolly & Jim carried us through last night to within touching distance of the title.
Sir KT 2160 v 7280 Mal - A couple of early breaks for Mal set up a lead, but however hard I tried, the balls wouldn`t go down (probably one or two crap shots in there as well). Mal made a couple more near the end. 0 - 1
Mr Reaper 11620 v 3480 Dave R. - Kev was superb in his opener of 10k. 1 - 1
Lolly 6580 v 3540 Chris R. - Chris was off under 2k and then it was a case of who wants to win :P. Lolly made a couple of breaks and Chris got them back at a crucial stage only to put his one up behind. Definitely the deciding game on the night. 2 - 1
Bigjimsilverfox 12510 v 6140 Nigel - Another brilliant opener from Jim, this time 11k. Nige gave chase, but was always going to be about 2k short. Jim made some more after he broke down. 3 - 1
Chocie 220 v 2870 Tupps - Chris opened with 8k only to have one come back onto a peg, very unlucky. Stu then made about 3k and chose a 100 split which whipped out and also took a peg. Close game ;D Tupps then done enough to win.
Two matches to go and it`s ours now to lose, an Away game at the Atlas and a Home game with the Old House, neither easy.

Barney is correct in the scoreline. However with only four home players. Gary was also missing watching football. The table very tricky. Chris Lucas was first to play against Nick Brown both players missing the break shot but Chris was always in the lead and finished 2640-4810 0-1. Tony Burgess and Chris Oakley was the best game of the night. With Chris behind when the bar dropped and sinking the red Chris needed the 200 hole at the end to win by 10 pts. 2910-2920 0-2. Adam Squires v Neil Higgins. Adam off early Neil fought for a 9220 break not faultless but steady missing the break occasionally. 10000-150 1-2. Jacqui Brown v Dave Jones. Jacqui off early and I made an early lead and kept it for the match win. 1780-3240 1-3. With no fifth player Sam Squires had a walkover. 10 minutes later and Gary Ridley arrived but not expected so unfortunately the game was conceeded.
