Just adding a bit of flesh to Duncs in depth analysis of the two semis ;D ;D
Alan and Chris took on Barry and Doug at the Henty - which was playing well but had its usual set of quirks (no not the players)!!
Barry and Doug won the toss and went first, Doug's opener was anout 1800, Alan didn't get them back nor did Barry or Chris or Doug or Alan but finally Barry did and put in a winning 6k break. 1-0 to Barry and Doug.
Young Chris now had to make a name for himself by putting in a substantial opener. Alas it was less than a thousand before he was off, uncharacteristically Barry failed to get them back. After a lot of to-ing and fro-ing Alan got the balls back and was on the way to a good break when a peg jumped out in front of a ball and stopped him in his tracks. With the game still wide open, 900-200 Chris got the break back and put together a game winning 4990. Lots of good shots and a big character builder. Well done Chris 1-1.
In the final equal opportunity game Barry led off and was looking totally in control until a one up came a little bit inside the line and he had to settle for 7.5K. Alan almost caught him before the bar but had to put in another coin to play a further 2 break shots to claim victory.
Bad luck to Doug and Barry it really could have gone either way. Many thanks to Swan teammates John and Phil who did the honours with the scoring - and thanks as well to the landlord at the Henty who once again provided the coins for the table.

Just adding a bit of flesh to Duncs in depth analysis of the two semis ;D ;D Sorry about that Al bit worn out at the time after concentrating so hard on that Dolphin top ::) :-X Here's a breif rundown of what happened in our semi:- We won the toss & Dec went off with a break of just under a thousand, Paul went on & pegged, I went on got the break back & amassed a healthy 2k+ break, Jason also got the break & caught us up as the bar dropped, he then missed & Dec cleared up. Jason scored 3k in nine minutes 1-1 I broke off with just under 1k, Paul broke scored about 400, Dec got break back & scored nearly 4k & that was enough to win the match. Table was very tricky on the break, top end was fine. Many thanks to those who came along to watch & score ;)
