To Save another venue from leaving The Billingshurst League The Limeburners Needs a team to play from this venue this season or players to join a mediocre (4 left) existing team. Same story as last year. Dick And Rick kindly helped last year unfortunately not in a position to do so this year I Live in hope Chip

Hi Chip, welcome aboard, Just a thought, Steve Pavey's old Railway team folded because he was short of players. Maybe Steve and possibly Ade Skinner may be interested in joining you. :-/
Regards. Dave.

Welcome to the Forum, Chip.
Great to have a new member, especially for Billingshurst and/or Horsham.
As I understand it, your Billingshurst team this season has origins from the old Cricketers team, and you had some Blue Shippers in addition.
What a shame it would be to lose another team with some good history.
There's several months to go before the new season kicks off, but at least by airing the subject now, others may realise your plight and come to the rescue before then. Lets's hope so.
Regards, tommo

The man himself, as pictured in this week's West Sussex County Times: Congratulations to Chip for 30 years as landlord of the Limeburners. Worth his weight in gold as one who has served our game proud in the area. 8-)
