Hi Roger,
Here's how to do it. First the theory.
You have to get the pics hosted on a remote site for public viewing, as people are not allowed access to your hard drive. By personal choice I use the website 'Tiny Pics' which offers free hosting.
Now in 'practice'.
1. Put your scans in 'My Pictures' within 'My Computer' and make sure they're the right file type (eg jpeg) - and - very important - not too large (suggest 300 x 300 max). You can use Photo Edit to achieve that.
2. Go to "Google" and type in tinypics.com (choose the website) which will open a form for you to browse your own computer for the relevant pic. Ignore/gloss over any blurb that says "Congratulations you are our millionth customer etc."
3. Click on your scan/pic so that it gets uploaded into the box (and picture appears on the right).
4. Right click "Copy" and try and exit "tinypics" (be persistent).
5. "Paste" onto wherever you want it to go. It will go in as a URL address, which when you look up the posting entry you made should then appear like magic as a picture.
You can always experiment by using the Private Message system: send yourself a PM with a tinypic in and see if it works !
Hope this helps. Any problems, don't be afraid to come back to me !
Regards,
Clive

Hi Roger, It's a bit of a performance but once you've done the routine a few times successfully it becomes second nature. So you got so far (into Tiny Pics, browsed, image appears on the right) - good ! Now, to the left of the image you'll see four choices: - HTML for websites
- Img code for Forums and Message Boards
- URL for eMail
- Direct link for layouts.
It's the second one (Forums & Message Boards) that you want. Left hand click in the field (highlights your choice) Right hand click Copy Back out of Tiny Pics website (arrow button in top left hand corner) cancel, arrow again, arrow again, arrow again. (I suggest backing out, that way you can stay logged into Proboards, otherwise x in top right hand of screen shuts down your connection)
Find where you want to post, and a simple right hand click and Paste This inserts the image code of the pic. After you've posted and called it up again, you'll see the image. Sounds complicated, but rewarding once you've mastered it ! Good luck ! Clive

Can't be too specific on that one, Roger, as rarely are two peoples' software packages the same.
You should have a facility on your computer to "Photo Edit"
Mine is called "ACD see".
General options are crop, rotate, shade background, sharpness of image - and of course........re-size.
Have a go yourself, and if you can't make it work, say on here what facility you have, and one of us may be able to guide you further.

Tell you what, Roger, you e-mail them to me and I'll re-size them for you and send them back.
But I'd rather you started the Forum thread yourself, and, after it's developed a bit - hopefully with some peoples' responses - I can add some of my own to it later.

Returned: simple 'cropping' seems to have made them a manageable size. :-/
