Henty Men 7-1 Loci Wheeltapers
J Dynes 6710--0870 E Hampton S Beach 5470--3030 R Driver S Mills 2500--5370 D Hampton D Dynes 7090--2340 P Clifford JD & SB 5580--3070 DH & RD DD & SM 4320--1540 EH & PC
Game 1. John kicked off with a healthy 3k+ Eric did get the break back but never got to grips with it allowing John to finnish the game off in style. Game 2. Rob broke down early, I missed with my first go, Rob got the break back & was looking comfortable before pegging which allowed me to make the game safe (after a hairy moment with the black peg). Game 3. Dave gave Simon a couple of good chances before winning this one. Game 4. A welcome return to form for captain Dec kicked off well, finnished off well, a true captain's innings. Game 5. Mr H broke off with 2k+ I got break back straight away & knocked in 5k+ which won that one. Game 6. Dec left the split well short on his opener but made ammends late on with a useful 4k.
Great result for the men who took advantage weakened without the services of Simmo.

LA Dolphins 5 - 3 henty Boys
A reversal of the fixture when these 2 teams met just over a fortnight ago which saw The Dolphins at long last register their first win of the Summer league.
A couple of debutants, Wayne Wingate for The Boys who adapted very well after a long absence to beat The Dolphin's captain in a low scoring game. The Dolphin's Captain now sports an unenviable record having played 4 singles and having lost all 4. Coach Dave East remarked "Maybe he is not up to the standard now required for the Bolton Bill league".
Gareth Cornford made his debut for the home team and just got the better of Dan Swain in what seemed a tactical game.
It is hoped to see both of the the 2 newcomers appearing for their respective teams in the Winter League.
The Dolphin Dollies , Hayley and Denee are hot stuff when it comes to the singles and it came as no surprise to see them both win against the Luckless Russell Oakes and making a guest appearance Dan Barrass respectively. By co-incidence a rematch occurred in the doubles in which the Boys showed their muscle and take revenge on the Dollies.
The last game saw the Top Dolphin's pairing of Coach and Doug Mahy take on Dan and Wayne and the latter pairing made a good fight of it to cause a surprise result in beating this strong home pairing to tie the game scores.
All games were of a low score, (highest recorded score on the night being 2240) with The Dolphins just nicking the team aggregate,
A good nights entertainment along with plenty of banter which is the norm when these 2 teams meet.
