Southwater lost to The Plough 1-4 tonight, good company played with plenty of encouroging banter from both teams! Darrell was suitably impressed in his hospital bed. On that note Marrion advises that he will be transfered to Crawley Hospital tomorrow as he is making good progress :)

hopefully get a few reports up but horsham never seems to get the feed back.
but mill house kicked there season of with the team to beat and managed a 3-2 win
rough scores ahead
bobhall 8990 (exact) v micky fairs 4.5k i opened with 8240 and left micky time but he couldnt capatalise
lorraine 4k v john miller 2k nip and tuck all way mum losing probably half her score but then managed to keep and plug away for the win
tommo 4k v rick 2k (i believe landrige) slightly nervy start but he kept his control and played a masterful show
nick 2k v dick cable 5k dick played a solid game even with injured arm aswell
jim 2k v peter gibbs 9k jim came off early and peter struck with a calm 9k break to take the leg
so 3-2 to the mill house i am sure tommo will put correct scores up. A great nights barbilliards and even better that the arsenal game was half time when i played so i only missed the start of the second half

Yup, great (and surprise !) start for the new team against the oft-time League Champions, and a great Horsham League debut for Boball, the draw being kind for us and Bob taking out Micky Fairs on the first visit.
Scores thus: Micky Fairs 4410, Bob Hall 8990 John Miller 2060, Lorraine Hall 5480 Rick Langridge 1180, tommo 5610 'Dick the Skip' Cable 4720, Nick Hayes 3350 Peter Gibbs 9180, Jim Broderick 1620 Roffey Club Y 2, Mill House 3
An enjoyable evening and some good laughs with the sociable opposition. Nice buffet too.

Great result... and good to see 2 old names popping up again, I guess you could have a tough season as captain though Clive, one of your team has a habit of upsetting people with his forthright views ;) hopefully he's calmed down a little in his advancing years.

Thanks for your concern, Bernie, but margo is our captain, and has taken no time at all in whipping everyone into shape. ;) ;D

it seemed to help all away teams having the break this week i wonder how next weeks results will affect this The away teams having all the breaks is a much fairer system IMHO as it means that everybody gets an equal number of breaks over the course of the season, so whoever finishes top of the Player Rankings is there on merit, not simply because they have been lucky enough to be drawn with the break more often than others. 8-)
