Roffey SSC 3 Dun Horse 2
Pete Fisher 3420 Stuart Hope 3230 Close game with Pete winning on the last ball.
Dick Cable 980 Grant Hope 6750 Grant on good form, pulling the break back with every visit. Dick, however, struggled with every visit.
Dave Howlett 6370 Colin Bolton 2940 Both players messed about to start before Colin got a break going. Twiggy got going midway to take the frame.
Micky Fairs 8060 Dave Simmons 2730 Dave started well until a badly misjudged one-up let Micky in for 7k. He followed up with another break of 4k5 before taking a peg out. Dave got the break back as the bar dropped.
Peter Gibbs 4000 Scott Hope 5050 Another very close game from the start. A few errors from both players, Scott fortunate to be on the table when the bar dropped to take the frame.
An encouraging start to the new season with a match that could have gone either way. The usual entertaining evening at Roffey with plenty of chat and banter. ;D

The Railway 3 Alfold SC 2
Mike Cook 1680 v Garry Fishburn 3010
Garry started with a steady 1.5K break, then neither player made any progress with the table becoming jammed with balls. Mike was unlucky and nothing seemed to be going his way though near the end he did get the break back to build a decent break before the bar dropped.
Steve Marriott 4130 v Robin Burgess 1980
Rob found the break but dropped the peg after building a decent score. Steve stepped up to the table and hit 2.7K. Nothing was going Rob's way and Steve held firm to take the game.
Mark Davies 2390 v Malcolm Greening 2240
As you will see from the result a close game, one that the Major was leading until Mark,s last visit. The Major attempted to play a tactical game building up the points then loading the table (as the bottom was difficult to play), however to Mark's credit he patiently dug in to secure the win.
Mick Clack 1120 v Trevor Goacher 1350
Though this may not look like one of the best games, both players did not get a lot of luck. Mick took the lead and Trevor never looked like doing much, that was until his last visit when he managed to clear the table as the bar dropped and sank the red in to the 100 hole to scrap through.
Nigel Worsfold 5180 v Dave Slater 430
Dave started slowly and struggled with the break letting Nigel to step in with a 4K break. Dave, though very entertaining just could not get into his stride and Nigel came out victorious with a steady game.
A great night (the third time in 3 weeks we have met, the 2 previous as friendlies) and banter was a plenty. Food was very nice thank you and the beer was not too bad either :)

The Crown 5 Springbok Club 0
Have not got the full match report only feedback from the Springbok Lads.
Sadly Springbok only went with 4 players so were against it from the start. They reported that they enjoyed watching the Crown lads play :o The most important thing to come out of this game for Springbok, is that they enjoyed it, the Crown lads were very welcoming and the new pub tenants were very hospitable. oh and they now realise they may need to start practicing ;)

Thanks Dave,
Has enabled me to bring the Billingshurst website completely up-to-date. Hope Ian doesn't mind that I've cheekily 'borrowed' his Horsham template for the weekly report ! ;D

Not at all Tommo I'm flattered ;D Can I do a cheeky then and ask you to send me a template (Excel version) before conversion to Word. I can then amend the colours for Billingshurst, keeping the yellow and green for Horsham. Cheers, tommo.
