Springbok Club 0 Dun Horse 5
Ken Nixon 860 Colin Bolton 2830 Colin struggled with the pace on the break to start, Ken didn’t capitalise. Colin managed to accumulate score in regular visits rather than large breaks.
Bill Hicks 1430 Dave Simmons 3020 Dave played a similar game to Colin. Bill was scoring quite well, unfortunately pegging a break of around 600 just after the bar had dropped.
Tug Wilson 940 Stuart Hope 3380 Stuart broke off with just over 1k then like the previous two games, accumulated scores, Tug played some very useful shots but was unable to keep all that he scored.
Neil Peckham 1030 Scott Hope 5430 Scott started well with just over 1k, following shortly with another break of 3k. Neil played steadily but again didn’t manage to keep all that he scored. Ron Parsons 720 Grant Hope 1430 Closest game by far and also the scrappiest. For a large part of the game most of the balls were lined along the top cushion. Neither Grant or Ron managing to make much headway. In the closing stages, Grant’s experience paid off and a 500 odd break was enough to make the game safe.
We were most impressed with the Springbok Club. A very good venue and a friendly team, cheap beer and good food. I do feel that it won’t be long before they start winning a few games. After all, we all started somewhere….

Alfold Club 3 Stout House 'A' 2
Sorry did not write the scores down as pre occupied ::)
The Major, Garry and Trevor won for Alfold, while Adam and Gordon put the points on the board for the Stout House.
The Major and Trevor's games were very close and could of gone either way.
A great night, plenty of banter and thanks to Robin for the excellant grub.
