The Black Horse in Rottingdean has a table that is not in a league. From what I can make out, it has not been in long and they are looking to get a team together at some stage. I would expect they would join the Brighton league but maybe even the Lewes one. Looks like this has happened, the Albion Z team having moved there. And stand prodly at the top of the Brighton League ! Have asked for reinstatement to the AEBBA Map. tommo

The new table at the Black Horse was the table taken from the Duke of the Wellington (Brighton). As the first team to play there last night , must say lovely venue ,very busy with a quiz night on but no disturbance to the game , and with the spread of food that came out i'm sure the guys are going to well looked after.

The new table is now in place at the Blue Anchor in Portslade, it looks as if (at least) 2 teams will be playing from there in Brighton League next season.

Presumably the Railway Club has acquired a table, as I see a team is now competing in the Summer League:
Railway Social Club, 4 Belmont Dyke Road, Brighton, BN1 3TF

Albion is shutting Tommo.
Blue anchor has lost a table, and the other new venues are all returning to the league after long absences

The Albion closing !!!! unbelievable, it must have been one of the longest serving pubs in Sussex to have a Bar Billiards table. Dennis will be turning in his grave ( no offence ment). Sad news, another great pub gone, had some good nights in there.

Thanks Nige, and I echo Roger's sentiment about the Albion: The World Championship trophy was taken back to there twice !
Good to see bar billiards returning to the Hikers Rest, though. They won our prestigious Horsham Festival Cup back in 1985 when the Brackenridges had the pub.

The Albion situation.
The Landlady Karen will be leaving shortly and the property itself is up for sale and so is unlikely to continue as an establishment of ill repute (And bar billiards). It may not necessarily close just yet but the future does not look good. This is the reason for us moving the table rather than get caught out after the season has started.

Re: BBW's earlier announcement that Hikers Rest B are staying put for the time being at the Albion...... Does this mean the table is staying put and a different table has been put in the Hikers Rest ?

Hi Clive, you are correct. The Albion table is staying put until the pub closes and there is a new table in the Hikers. Just to confirm thought that in the Brighton league both teams from the Albion will now be at the Hikers and the Albion side in the Lewes league will be staying at the Albion.

As far as I am aware all of the venues in your non league section now do not have tables, except The Rainbow Bookshop which is not playable
