Here is Mill House's scorecard. No scores to write home about and the result flattered us a bit, and two games could have easily gone the other way.
Having said that, Lorraine's performance was exceptional on a night when the balls seemed cold and damp.
Nick Hayes 1790, Andy Crofton 1720 Jim Broderick 2600, Mark Gasson 2270 tommo 2670, Tom Howell 600 Mama Hall 4380, Mike Davies 1560 Boball 3540, Gordon Budd 1530 Mill House 5, Windmill A 0
The Windmill Littleworth are the longest-serving members of the Horsham League and we had a chuckle over the time (25 years ago) when they had points deducted for sending a card to me through the Royal Mail with a Green Shield Stamp on. ::) ;D

Plough B 3 Roffey Y 2
Foxy 4980 - Junkie Miller 590 John missed the break shot and nerever recovered, took me a few goes to retrieve the break!
Pete 2240 - Dick Cable 2010 Dick off early Pete played steadily and kept his scores
Jenny 1300 - Peter Gibbs 4000 Peter played the best of the Roffey boys a steady 2.5k break was enough
Alan 1860 - Micky Fairs 3940 Not as easy as it looked for Micky opened with 1300 Alan was coming back at him when two succesive breaks were pegged letting Micky in the finnish off
Chris 2320 - Rick Landridge 1330 Rick also uncomfortable on the Plough top and Chris steadily pulled out a 1k lead not to be beaten
All the usual banter in the sauna! ;)

Southwater 3 2 Plough A
Good good with Mark and co from the Plough and a welcome to Kieron and Rickie in their first seasons in the leage. My team and I know only too well how difficult it is in year one so hope the two of them continue at the game. No exact score as Tom has scorecard.
Leg one saw Rickie start against Tom. Both struggled at first but Tom steadied himself well to notch a break of almost 3k and a total score around 4.5k. Leg two was a one way street for the Plough. Comfortable victory. Leg 3 saw Des break against myself. I found a rhythem early on. No notable breaks but 5.5k total. Leg 4 was the best leg of the night. Mark and Gordan battled till the bitter end in a topsy turvy game. Mark trailed by 140 with 3 balls left. 40 points later he found himself needing the 100 shot to draw or 200 to win. Mark showed off his skills to pull his side back with the 200 shot. Final leg saw Keiron play Jeff. Neither player found the touch needed to pull away comfortably. Jeff played a miraculous shot off the back cushion with side to save a break of 1250 which won the game and match in the end.

DUN HORSE:4 HOLBROOK CLUB:1
Usually the esteemed Mr. Giffen does the honours in posting but was unwell last night so i will put the sores on the doors.
John Lear:2410 Brett Kennedy:820 Richard "Spud" Spurrier:3380 Sam Jones:1440 Paul Jobbins:2660 Nigel Evans:3950 Graham Sparksman:7280 Steve Hopkins:1270 Adam Bateup:10410 Martin Murrey:650
First two were nip and tuck. Paul threatened to make a come back in the third but the balls would not drop for him. In the fourth Steve managed the unfortunate feat of knocking all three pegs over in one shot. :o Our more than able stand in then proved to be, well, more than able. The best was saved for last as Bravo smashed in breaks of 3k and 6k5 to continue his scarily good form.
As always on a Tuesday the evening was very pleasant and the Holbrook guys were a really entertaining crowd and exceptional sports. Cheers all.
