Seeing as you are called the Ham and Eggers, perhaps next time you visit worthing you should try the Smugglers Return in East Worthing, which have a very good table, and the co-incidental thing about the pub is it used to be called THE HAM. Worth a visit, it used to be my home table many years ago! I'll make a note of it for my next return trip to Worthing. We've just got back from a trip to East Preston, Littlehampton and Worthing. We played at the Seaview Hotel and the Marine View Hotel. A few weeks back we visited Newcastle-upon-Tyne, but found the table at the Hustler Pool & Snooker Club to be Out Of Order. A blog post about our latest visits and games hamandeggerfiles.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/bar-billiards-in-newcastle.htmlHope all is well with everyone in the world of Bar Billiards.

Thanks for your report on the visit to Newcastle, and pic of the table in the Hustler Club: a very nice looking Jelkes (I wonder why it's out of action ?)
Your visit to Littlehampton once again took you to 'hallowed ground' as the White Hart is the home venue of former World Champ and England Number One Kevin Tunstall.
Good luck on your visit to Nottingham, there's some interesting sounding venues to be explored there !

Good luck on your visit to Nottingham, there's some interesting sounding venues to be explored there ! tommo I've heard from the team at the Hustler Pool Club in Newcastle that their Bar Billiards table should be repaired very soon. Next time we're in Littlehampton we'll give the table in the White Hart a play. I was suffering from terrible toothache on our holiday down there so wasn't able to visit and do everything I wanted to. We did however manage to play Pit-Pat, aka Crazy Snooker, aka Obstacle Billiards in Littlehampton. One of the tables/holes has three skittles on it that you have to knock down. Another Billiard variant... hamandeggerfiles.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/pit-pat-crazy-snooker-in-littlehampton.html

The Charles Dickens table was never removed, so not sure where Dave got his info from. It is still there as a non-league table.

Isn't one of the two teams ('A'??) at the Rocket still there? the other having moved to the Albion? My understanding is that your comment Sav refers to Brighton League only, where Pocket Rocket B have reloacted to the Albion and A's have stayed behind at the P/R. There were 2 tables and the one the Worthing team played on has gone - hence their (one) team has gone to the Albion also. I haven't moved it to archive as such as thereoretically there's still a table within their (Worthing's) catchment area which could still be played on.

Tommo has been bored recently, so turned his attention to this project which he had been saving for a rainy day: Info covers the entire country, but had a spare page on the Horsham website, so this is easilly accessible via that website's front menu.
Nice one Tommo. In the Worthing league there is no table in the Charles Dickens. And the Tarring Club has now closed but maybe open in the future. Also the Tarring club dropped the West from its name a few years ago.

Can't keep up with you, Dave. This is what you told us in Feb, just one month before lockdown: Quote: So is the situation same as with Tarring Club, i.e. table removed while Covid is going on ? I think I will just cross these through for the moment.

Thanks for your response fellas. The Charles Dickens seems to have had more to-ing and fro-ing than most.
It sounds like a bit of a Bleak House but I imagine you and Our Mutual Friend have Great Expectations that in these Hard Times "something will turn up" and it won't just become a ghost of Christmas past.
